This is a tough spot that you find yourself in, emotionally. Since your separation from your daughter may go on for years...or at least until she is old enough to want to know her father...some work with your grieving is in order for what has happened now. There are 5 stages of grief that we go thru, before we accept things for the way they are and move on with our life. You can Google the stages and the specifics of each stage. (We can vacillate between each stage, don’t worry about this, just stay with the process.) Study yourself and nail down each day, exactly how you are feeling about this loss. It would be helpful, to start a journal and write in it everyday, whether you feel like it or not. Your emotional health depends on you getting through this hurtful time in your life. Live in each moment...when you are with others, see them for who they are and why you appreciate them for that. Try not to get ahead of yourself...your pain is real and it must have it’s due! Don’t deny it...don’t shame yourself. You will get to the bottom of this dilemma, but it will take time. Maybe lots of time...I don’t want to mislead you! The hard work falls on your shoulders. Just know that this will require HARD emotional work. You will be miles ahead if you face this fact. If possible and there is a grief support group in your area, join it. Especially, if you do not have many close friends. And don’t be afraid to share your sorrows with the people who love you. They might not understand completely, but your story is real and it should have a voice. I am sorry for your losses. I am glad you had the courage to put your hurt here, so that we can give you support. When it is too much for you...someone will still be here to support you. 🤗

I know that you loved him.’ Addictive behavior is confusing and will not make sense. You cannot make good sense out of insane behavior and before you realize it, you will most likely twist yourself out of shape...trying to adjust yourself to someone’s insanity. I know this from many years of personal experience. You miss the point! Being that my ancestors came from Scotland, I cannot ever in my poverty background remember that our color was the problem. Poor white trash, we were...but nothing about our color that was always front and center was ever used against us. It is harder to ‘read’ a complexion that is dark, it is harder to ‘read’ dark colored eyes! If this is not what we are accustomed to, we must spend extra time to study that person. We are either embarrassed or lazy or both and we feel the need to make a quick assessment ...because we feel an unease...maybe exaggerated fear, if we have had little exposure to dark and brown people or foreign ethnic groups. Education about cultures would help, but how much education is given in our schools to the world’s different cultures. That would be a specialized field, that most likely has been chosen to study. It is my observation that cultures are embedded in the nature of each nationality. After many generations in America, they may surface only occasionally, but there are differences that come to life even when a person tries to stamp them out...in order to fit-in with ‘this’ society! The gracious thing to do is acknowledge them and learn their ways and share our own! I can’t magically be what others need me to be and neither would I expect that from another person. So to your point...to have an obvious reaction from other people because of the color of our skin, everyday and maybe more than once a day...would wear any ‘human being’ person down! And...then to be perceived as dangerous or possibly violent because of your race...would bring up the natural ‘fight or flight’ in that person’s nature. At this point there will be clashes from both sides! And if this action comes from the militarized police...there is a very good chance that person will be killed! After all, the police have been given instruction on their permission to kill...if they ‘feel their life is threatened!’ Which they may feel, because of their ignorance and conditioning in our social order. We can do better and black and brown people deserve to be treated with respect and given the same benefits as the rest of our society. Killing them wounds ‘their people,’ and leaves a ‘grieved scar’ in the mind of those others who must bear witness to their murder! I am one of them...scared but will always get my support for their right to basic dignity...and LIFE!

For me the present situation with Biden and Reade is an individual situation. I never was a MeToo, groupee and I am and know many people that could count on the list. The MeToo exposure was needed to bring attention to sexuall aggression and disrespect. But, it seems to me that truth, should be the final aim in all these situations.
