I think it was the same when I came on in Dec. ‘17. I believe a lot of the misunderstanding is found in what mood a person is in and certainly if he/she is on edge about the idea discussed. We may at first read into a post’s message, something out of our own minds. It may have some of the words that we previously heard attacking our ideas, so our brain skips ahead and connects with an emotion that was with the original attack! It sure happened to me, when I first came on here. I have settled down and have a pretty good grip on how to explain myself and when that doesn’t work I block (have blocked only a few), but I have no time to try and work out attacks on me personally.

It might help some, but overall I did not see much improvement in my sister on a healthy diet, who had schizophrenia. She did improve moderately when she was cared for and felt safe. As for myself, my depression comes and goes and I usually eat healthy. But I did note that after I start to feel low, I crave pastry type things! The uncertainty is what takes us for ‘a ride!’ My mother was similar to trump and she was a torment to me up until she had her heart attack and died 3 months later. For some reason in those last 3 months I was not concerned with her deviate behavior and related to her without fear. But most of my life was spent waiting for the disaster that was sure to come, from of my mother’s behavior. The ones that did happen, we got through and the rest never happened. Let your mom’s guest enjoy themselves, and visit with them on some later date when the ‘half uncle’ is absent.
