My 53 yr old son got ejected from the army over marijuana use, he has made an almost failed life, along with many of the friends that he grew up with have also had difficult lives (some are dead), and they started with weed back in high school.

Yes! I saw that earlier today! But, I never voted for trump...I have been following him since he was in his 20s, I have never held any respect for him! There was so much confusion going on at that time, people felt they couldn’t trust Clinton...so they voted for trump...but he was the evil one! And some people didn’t vote because they thought Clinton would get enough votes anyway. I ended up in the emergency room here at our hospital the next day after the election and the ER doctor was all out of sorts, because he had not voted, thinking Clinton had the votes! @kasmian maybe...I have had my share of nightmares...if you mean the kind that you need to scream for help and can’t, and sometimes you wake yourself up with your own scream! I did what another post suggested, I tried to remember them and what they were trying to tell me? They are there trying to get through to us...what is too hard for us to ‘see’ in our waking life! Try seeing yourself...‘dropping,’ all harmful thoughts about others (or yourself), at your feet...don’t let them attach to your ‘person.’ If they are allowed to attach, they will worry or torture you...then suck up all your creativity energy! The more you practice this, the better you get at it! Just like anything else that you practice to get better at!

@Kynlei after reading your letter...I would like to suggest that working on forgiveness for all concerned just might help. I also come from a family with many of the dynamics as you wrote about. There were so many things to sort out, for a lifetime...that it would be impossible to pull that off! I know that I never did. Now, every member of my family has died and I am the only one left. Forgiveness, does not mean that wrongs are condoned...what it does mean is...I drop all dissatisfactions about myself and any others that have wronged me. Then I work to build something better for myself, as i am still part of the living! When, we react from our psychic pain and brokenness, not many of us do it with the correct approach! Most of us just ‘lash out’ ...that usually hurts others and leaves us with shame...but what we really wanted was to have our hurt validated. There are many people living their lives with many many misunderstandings. Especially if they were not resolved all along the way, in our life. It is impossible to resolve a lifetime of hurts after people are dead and buried! But, I have resolved to forgive myself and any others, dead or alive...and work to resolve my hurts as I ‘go along,’ so that I and no one left behind, have to experience an over abundance of unresolved issues with me! My best to you!
