@MichelleGar1 yeah I probably could do it through another shire council, which is something I'm exploring at the moment. My supervisor does not listen to anything any of the lifeguards have to say to her, she expects young adults (17 - 18 year Olds) to know exactly how to run a pool and its chemicals without any training whatsoever. At my local pool where I do 90% of my time at, there is liquid chlorine and hydrochloric acid, and we have to monitor and adjust and manually handle these chemicals, but not one of these young school leavers I've talked to doesn't know not to mix these, because it forms a toxic gas and can kill you, which is exactly what a relief lifeguard nearly done, because this young girl wasn't aware of any danger from not knowing. To be honest, when I get a relief lifeguard, the only training they get is half a hour with me, and I've got to somehow magically cram all my knowledge into them during that time, and that's it, my supervisor just ignores us, unless we fuck up some paperwork. And the fucked up thing is I've had to learn everything by myself about the pools I attend to, and I can do liquid chlorine pools and chlorine gas pools, but have never received any training in the dangers of the chemical handling side of things... One day someone is going to get hurt at the least and die at the worst I once asked for a pair of gumboots when I was cleaning the pool before the season started, my supervisor didn't get me any, so I went to the oh&s officer asking for gumboots (because I was walking around in green slimy water) and I got in trouble off my supervisor because apparently I should of kept asking her for the gumboots because she is to busy to remember everything..... Honestly I've had enough of it.

@MichelleGar1 last season, the local cop took his kid to the pool for a swim, and he got a phone call on his mobile, and I kid you not he walked away from the pool while his kid was swimming in the deep end, his kid was going down and I had to run around the pool and grab the kid out, I asked her if she was ok, and she said yes, and by that time, the parent had come back and just said to his kid, you need to swim.... I wanted to yell at him and tell him you need to watch your child better... And this season's one takes the cake.... There was a storm with a bit of lightning in it, so I wouldn't let anyone in the pool untill it had cleared, this grandmother turns up to the pool with two of her grandchildren, and I tell her not to let kids into pool as it's unsafe...and I shit you not, she then says to me, can my grandkids just jump in pool to get wet.... I just looked at her and calmly explained that water and electricity don't mix, felt like slapping her for wanting to put kids life's in danger People are fucked, seriously fucked!

It's weird that we (Australia)use the metric system, and you (America) use imperial system.

The second meeting was at your house?? What the hell were you thinking inviting a bloke who you fully know wants something more into your personal safe space??? And yes I realise the guy did say he was ok with being friends with you in the first correspondence, but you have this guy a very big green flag by inviting him into your home, then you give him a gift?? If you want to put all the blame on the guy, that's fine, it's not my problem, but you as a person have to accept the role you played in this whole game.
