I'm passionate about ecology and biodiversity conservation in the present day, as well as deciphering the dynamics of past ecosystems from what remains.

I study biological anthropology and I work on conservation-related botanical trials on a casual basis, with some volunteering on the side. Ultimately I would like a research and teaching position.

Hiking and camping are my main pastimes; I take every opportunity presented to me to get creatively lost (and then, ideally, un-lost) in the wilderness. I enjoy practicing my taxonomy, taking extremely amateur photos and experiencing awe and tranquility by turns.

I've dabbled in caving and rock climbing and I am eager to expand my repertoire of outdoor activities, perhaps through meeting others with similar interests.
