Is that a real stump or fossilized wood?

Skeleton of cholla cactus. It is also called jumping cactus and is very common. This is why they are called jumping cactus.

I liked that movie. The Beaver Brown Band did the music, right?
GeorgeRocheleau replies on Mar 3, 2019:
Maybe, IMDB isn't clear. They do list the individual musicians, On the Dark Side Written by John Cafferty (uncredited) Performed by John Cafferty (lead vocal and guitar), Michael 'Tunes' Antunes (saxophone), Gary Gramolini (guitar), Robert Nicholas Cotoia (piano), Patrick Lupo (bass), Kenny Jo Silva (drums)
Surprise, I did it again.

Are you using a particular lens? Lovely photo! Exceptional!
GeorgeRocheleau replies on Mar 1, 2019:
I created this in software. The lens I used to take the picture was a 50 mm f1.8, because it is my sharpest lens, and an extension tube to get close.
Surprise, I did it again.

GeorgeRocheleau replies on Mar 1, 2019:
Sure, not on anything. Right.
