GeorgeRocheleau comments on Apr 21, 2018:
The disparity in the number of chromosomes is large enough that I doubt you could produce a viable offspring. Cattle have 60 chromosomes, horses have 64. While it is true horses and donkeys have different numbers of chromosomes, Donkeys have 62, they can produce viable offspring, but the offspring cannot reproduce. Also the differences between them, digestive tract and foot structure, are such that an intermediate form is probably not practicle.

A cosmology question.
GeorgeRocheleau comments on Apr 10, 2018:
Without the atmosphere, everything would be brighter and clearer, but only Andromeda would be significantly closer. Even though there are galaxies just about anywhere you point a telescope, with the naked eye you would probably pick out Andromeda, The Milky Way and the Mageleic Clouds. I doubt you would be able to see much else.

GeorgeRocheleau comments on Mar 29, 2018:
I used to worry about that, but I have enough friends that I don't worry about it. If that was going to be a problem, I would just as soon get that out of the way early.
