I have been a bookkeeper, accountant, scientist, science editor, educator. Currently, I'm a graduate student in science education. I've never been married, but have a son that I raised on my own and now have two grandchildren and a lovely daughter-in-law.
We teach science poorly. Instead of facts, we need to teach students how we know what we know. If we had done so all along, perhaps Trump would have never been elected president?
In my heart of hearts, I'm a biologist. Life is so amazingly complex and wondrous, it's hard to think there's not a god. But that's really not for us to know, is it? It's beyond human purview...
