The Fermi Paradox suggests there is a high probability of extraterrestrial life. So, I think keeping an open mind about the existence of ETs rather than denying the possibility is the better way to think. When proof presents itself maybe I'll feel a little better inside.

A lot of the religious people look down on atheist people and consider them to be immoral.

I see trust like a banker sees a loan. You determine whether to put your trust into someone based on their past merit. If you find they do not deserve that trust, and have burned a bridge with you, then you know never to gift that individual trust in the future, regardless of any future merit.

I'm a author with two novels published and one on the way. I love Science Fiction and that's what I enjoy writing. My favorite authors (and it's not me) is Alastair Reynolds, Ben Bova, and Stephen King (to limit to three.) Topics could range from revenge seeking captains to the discovery of new worlds. A hobby category would be great.

I see freedom as the ability to choose. If I choose to sit alone in silence, that is indeed freedom. When the loneliness overwhelms ones desire to sit alone in silence, it doesn't cease to be freedom, because it's your mind's choice to enact it's desire.
