MERCERISATION.
Haemish1 comments on Jun 20, 2019:
Ive never heard of Mercerisation. Wonder if there’s a relationship to the wealthy, conservative Mercer family in the US?
Haemish1 replies on Jun 20, 2019:
@Marionville He may not be related, but it doesn’t seem to stop him from meddling in UK politics. Robert Mercer played a key role in the Brexit campaign by donating data analytics services to Nigel Farage.[5] He is also a major funder of organizations supporting right-wing political causes in the United States, such as Breitbart News[6] and Donald Trump's 2016 campaign for president.[7] He is the principal benefactor of the Make America Number 1 super PAC.[8] In November 2017, Mercer announced he would step down from Renaissance Technologies and sell his stake in Breitbart News to his daughters. He also sued a model railroad company for overcharging him two million dollars for a model train set. Some people have too much money 😕

Anyone familiar with Biophotons?
MojoDave comments on Jun 19, 2019:
Could these biophotons be the source of 'auras' some people claim to see?
Haemish1 replies on Jun 19, 2019:
I read one article that suggested that. It noted how pictorial representations of religious figures always have an aura or halo effect around their heads. The theory is that greater thought power would result in an increase in the production of Biophotons - perhaps being the source of the term “enlightenment “

I never saw him, but love his music - it was a tragedy to lose him so early. One of his band members, Grit Laskin is an amazing artist/guitar maker.
Can a potential romantic relationship move too slow?
ShadowAmicus comments on Jun 5, 2019:
Yes - of course it can go too slowly. I wrote to Bo Derek many years ago - and she still has not got back to me

Sandra Bullock is still leading me on :/
Too many air freshener trees, or nah?
Haemish1 comments on Jun 4, 2019:
It’d be interesting to know if that’s an artistic statement, or an olfactory necessity?

@dartagnan6666 Kind of a performance art thing?
@EyesThatSmile got to level 8! Good for her!

What a piece of art 😂 The facial expression of this Sphinx is killing me 😂

@actofdog Exactly! I just didn’t want to attempt to spell it:)

Freethinkingxx comments on Jun 4, 2019:
I do it all the time without realizing it! I will hover to see if someone comments and I think I recognize the commenter? Sometimes to confirm, yeah, that's the guy from UK, or the girl who is poly and has cool snarky comments....I also hover if I don't have my reading glasses, because my eyesight ...
Haemish1 replies on Jun 4, 2019:
@Freethinkingxx Thanks - I’ll do that. It’s bed time for me now - I just finished working a night shift:/

On a serious note: you can actually go into your profile controls and turn off your ability to hover, as well as the notifications that tell you who hovered over you. But where's the fun in that?? (Holy crap, I hit level 7.8 responding to this post! Excellent.....)
Haemish1 replies on Jun 4, 2019:
Is 7.8 the same as 7,800? Mine only shows the whole number value, not the fractional equivalent

@Freethinkingxx Goodness no - I’m no where near the caliber of performer as those that will be on stage. There’s an accordion and a concertina in the photo, but I really don’t claim to play them.

I look at my profile daily and find that someone hovered. It must be a new fad. If not, you are being reported for looking at words or something.

@Freethinkingxx True - temperatures 20 - 30 degrees below zero without the windchill aren’t much fun. You can always put on more clothes- there’s a limit to what you can remove - in polite society 😉

@Freethinkingxx https://montanafolkfestival.com/ Aside from being the largest superfund cleanup site in the country Butte is pretty cool- it snowed there last 4th of July:/ It’s the largest historical district in the country, with some great architecture that rivaled New York and Chicago at the time. The mountains are wonderful with lots of hiking and biking opportunities and several hot springs around too. North Dakota has its merits, but I much prefer Montana.

Only relevant if you are looking to link up with someone to form a relationship...otherwise, does it really matter who is hovering?
Haemish1 replies on Jun 4, 2019:
It really doesn’t matter - initially I was wondering why do many guys were hovering, but then I figured I was probably doing it too. I was just curious about the process, and shamelessly trying to get some t shirt points:)
