@AnonySchmoose honestly because she was hoping to gain by it. She knew as the President/ well-known man in the future she could use that dress to gain favors - only problem, she told the wrong person (Linda Tripp). Linda wanted to destroy Clinton and did not care who she hurt in the process. Monica's mental state issues were not because of the situation with Clinton but with the fallout of Tripp & the republicans dragging her through the mud so they could get rid of Clinton.
So much fun!

Heidi68 replies on Sep 28, 2019:
Actually, no I didn't. There is not 1 single thing from my life that I would not talk about or have a reason to not repeat. Every action has a reaction and we CHOOSE every single thing we do. As I asked below - if it was a simple mistake why did she save the dress? She knew what she was doing and knew she could potentially use evidence in her favor. If it was just a youthful jaunt with an older man she would have discarded the dress. She said it was consensual.

@St-Sinner I would rather be overly concerned than not concerned, as you are. Prior to the current mess, the majority of republicans at least had a moral backbone. Not now, they are greedy power hungry control freaks - just look at the nonsense that is happening in NC, Alabama, Ohio, Maryland, Louisiana, Georgia, Virginia - the list goes on but you get the point. In NC alone, we just had a special election because the republican was caught cheating - instead of giving the out come to the runner up (a Democrat) they forced a new election where they inserted another republican. And yes, because of the ignorance of the NC voting population they elected said republican. So, no I do not feel secure about our current situation because our population is too ignorant to understand what THEY are voting for & what power they are giving the elected officials. THEY are too ignorant to invest in our democracy, so yes, once again, I am very concerned.

@St-Sinner so just because he is not (currently) doing anything that affects you personally, you don't think it is hurting you? You don't believe people should stand with those who are personally being hurt by his ignorance Little scenario just for giggles - your voting rights are not being affected but because people of color who may vote similar to you are not allowed to vote, the other candidate wins. This doesn't just happen in your neighborhood or state but ever neighborhood & state. Now all the policies are being made by people with the total opposite view from yours and there is no one on yourside left in office to fight for your rights. Let's take something like coffee (not even a real issue) - let's say you love coffee but those in office hate coffee & decide to not only make it illegal but ban the importation of coffee beans. All of a sudden that little thing, of it not personally hurting you becomes a much larger issue. If you had stood up with the others who WERE being personally hurt the entire situation would have played out different and you would have never been touched by the actual pain of something hurting you. That is why people like me personalize his ignorance.

She actually caught it this morning & had it pretty well wrapped but I didn't notice until I bumped part of the web & scared her. She ran to the top edge & stayed up there. When I came back tonight she was back down near it and let me tell you it was trying to escape!
