I loved when I lived in WA State. We lived across the sound from Seattle, secluded along the water but could take a ferry ride to 'civilization' for a few hours. And just as quickly head back to seclusion. That was almost perfect.

@AnneWimsey Have you actually studied Bernie's voting record? Progressive doesn't show up in the votes. The youth (anyone under 50) need a complete change to feel they are being heard. Bernie in reality (looking at his past stance on many issues) is the same as the other 2 I listed in my original comment. I am not saying Bernie is not needed but the need is in teaching/supporting the younger generation. If he backs whoever is chosen we gain the youth, the mature, the center & the left.

@HankSherman thank you. I actually managed by myself - the horses were easy (throw them some hay & alfalfa - good to go) - now the spoiled little mutts... they want their food promptly and they get a combo of pre-made & raw.... Luckily I think I am on the mend - just no energy.

That is humorous, until you live around them and see some of the animal abuse, especially horses. I try not to make generalizations, but too many engage in abusive actions with their animals. They see animals as tools, and use them without much concern.
