@Jacar I am not disagreeing with free speech. But this thread is about being blocked, correct? To understand why one is being blocked, one may need to change their behavior to find the source of being blocked without first being blocked. Once that source is found/discovered one can then either continue to learn about ones self or revert back to their original behavior.
The Queen movie is incredible.

Freddie Mercury was a genuine talent, both natural and developed. Some do not know that he actually did a stint in opera toward the end. My wife and I have tried to get out to the movie but one thing or another keeps getting in the way. Maybe this weekend! Also, the movie is *about* Mercury and, ...

@Jacar if we were typing as they spoke 180 years ago both of us would have a very hard time understanding it. Proper spelling and speech vs slang in typed context amongst strangers with very different backgrounds causes misinterpretations. Hence, the possibility of why you keep getting blocked. It is not self-censorship, self-reflection is to look at ones self for clues to areas of self-improvement or self-awareness.

48 million years ago? You sure about that? Were you there? Be careful you might be giving away your age ???

I did! Well after I washed the sheets, then the dog beds, cleaned the house & put dinner on simmer. I stretched out on the couch, pups climbed on top of me - woke up an hour later ?? only difference we had a cold dreary day here - no warm sun coming through the windows

Heidi68 replies on Dec 12, 2018:
@Jacar is it possible, as I stated in my first comment - we don't need a counter but some self-reflection? Yes people could be getting offended too easily or is it possible you are coming on too strong/aggressive? If you, overall, enjoy whatever groups/people yet you are the one being blocked wouldn't it make more sense for you to change (your approach) than the site? Read your comment below about 'whities'. Racist people & now racist words. There have always been racist words - think the 'n' word. And no, I don't type nor say it, not because it may offend someone but because it is an ugly word with an ugly history. I wasn't part of the conversation you had but is it possible whomever you were talking to was trying to point out whities is used by raciat people to degrade another human? Not to mention the paragraph right before the 'whities' paragragh - you are calling people names, albeit, misspelled. Are you speaking the same when people block you? It is very hard to interpret tone in typed words but I read that whole response as rude and condescending. That may not have been your intent but intent is not as easily recognized in a typed discussion. People do not come on (most) sites for that. Discussion is one thing but to be critical & condescending to people is not what anyone wants to hear. Like I said, self-reflection.

Heidi68 replies on Dec 12, 2018:
@glennlab my last boyfriend is the uncle to Chris Cagle's wife so we usually ended up at Billy Bob's when he played there. My friends & I always hit the restaurants when we are all together there - I swear it ends up being every night a different steak place. Lonesome Dove is delicious but very expensive. White Elephant is our go to bar at least once while we are there, well & the H3 and the pool hall up the hill from H3. Other than dinner & 1 or 2 nights out after the show I am usually seated right here. (I am not very good at selfies but this is one of my favorite views - next to views of the ocean).
