I own. The important thing to remember is to have a large emergency fund. When the boiler, the water tank goes you could be looking at $10,000 needed immediately! Currently in that situation. Also definitely learn to DIY. 20 years and I've never paid someone to do what I can learn to do myself.

Total agree on the having a back up fund & learning how to DIY! The more you can do yourself the cheaper it is. Had a problem with my well pump - knew something was going on so I didn't have an emergency call and while they were here I watched everything they did so I am not blind should I need something in the future.

meet Bear - I have had him for just over 25 years. He was hatched April 13, 1993 - I got him June 1, 1993. He has been hiking in the Teton Mountains, lived in .CA, CO, OK, NC, TX, VA & WA - he loves car rides and playing in the yard. His vocabulary is probably around 200 words and believe it or not his only cuss word is the occasional 'shit' during football season... ?
