I love the countryside in North Carolina and considered moving there because of that, but it's so religious; like 80%. Around the 13th highest state, right? Love the horse kiss. I love horses too. I'm looking to have my own.
Heidi68 replies on Aug 26, 2018:
Yes NC is very religious.... mind boggling so. They just had a faith fest in the town where I live... But it is a truly beautiful state.

@Coffeo I did read that. I will blame sleep deprivation (worked over night last night)
Nothing left to see.

I want to know HOW did this come about?
Heidi68 replies on Aug 24, 2018:
@HippieChick58 hmmmm well the humans were planning a romantic dinner of steak & lobster - they had the lobster in a pot on the counter, what you don't see is the water all over the floor.
I talked the Aliens into buzzing me by the Mall.
Heidi68 comments on Aug 24, 2018:
But did you get to enjoy the pool?
Heidi68 replies on Aug 24, 2018:
@jasen maybe that is how you earn their trust. No bathing since they don't have showers...
Nothing left to see.

Dog tried to eat lobster, realized lobster had pinchers - came in with a new approach. The question now - did he succeed?

What did you learn today? (I learned not to eat salmon that's been in the fridge too long)
marksam8484 comments on Aug 22, 2018:
I learned how to replace the mowing belt (10 feet long) on my zero turn riding mower. Quite the challenge and yes there were some expletive words uttered in the process! ha ha
Heidi68 replies on Aug 23, 2018:
A couple of weeks ago I learned something similar - how to change the belt wheel, spindle & the blades.

When I was very young my father would take my brother and me sailing often. He rebuilt an old yawl and he would let me navigate and pilot.

DeepOrange comments on Aug 21, 2018:
I'd love to float down the Missouri River from the headwaters to St. Louis.
Heidi68 replies on Aug 22, 2018:
@DeepOrange years ago I read the Ken Burns book about Lewis & Clark - granted they went the opposite direction but I always thought what an amazing journey & a beautiful way to see our country.

Love all your photos.
Heidi68 replies on Aug 22, 2018:
@Sheannutt just keep pushing the button. They always say you have to take 100 pictures and you are lucky if you get 1 that is good. Which is so much easier now compared to years ago when you had to wait til they came back from the developer

We grew up on the water and I love all the memories of me & my dad (and granddad) on the water. My dad loves to sail down to the islands - I wish I was in a position where I/we could take the winter off and head south - we aren't getting any younger...
