Why the hell should you NOT be receiving SS? We've paid into it our whole lives. As to not representing him or herself, I dated a guy who claimed to be 5'6". If he was 4'10" I'd be surprised. That has happened more than once, but never someone who was that short. We want to be seen in the best light. If we are totally truthful we might not get dates, and if we fudge then it might be one date only. I'd rather err on the side of truthfulness.

I remember as a child (age 9 or so) our old Tom got really dirty. Dad told my youngest older brother, younger sister and I to give him a bath. Yeah right... So we found the old baby bath, partially filled it. Sis grabbed the front feet, I grabbed the back, and brother lifted the cat into the tub. Poor old Nikko! Once we got him in the tub the three of us got him washed up. He was pretty used to be manhandled by kids, we were 3 of 6.

I think it is just that we aren't the right person for those that we're meeting, and that's ok. Better to be alone than unhappily connected to someone. Life is too short for that.

I have visited Dachau, it breaks my heart that we have our own concentration camps on US soil again. Wasn't it enough to put the Japanese in camps. I don't think I bear any grudges towards anyone, however there are a whole bunch of people I don't trust very much, most of them I work with. I can live with that, if I died today they'd advertise my job within hours if not minutes. Always ask yourself will this matter 5 years from now. If not, don't sweat the small stuff.

I always keep an umbrella in my car, and the spare is now at home. It was at the office because it was quite a hike from the parking area to the building. Now I'm parking much closer to the building I work in so I don't usually even worry about zipping my coat. Usually I consider that a bit of rain won't hurt, but it does not improve your professional image.

OOOOHHHHH dear dawg! I did a chicken pox playdate of sorts... I knew the kid had chicken pox and we went to Thanksgiving dinner at their house anyway. My kids were almost 2, 5, and 9. The 5 year old was sick two weeks later. Two weeks later on Christmas Eve day the grandparents were visiting and we went to the Children's Museum in Seattle (it was packed!), and then to Ivar's for dinner. The oldest say"my belly itches" and I pulled up her shirt to find the first pox. The youngest got up the next morning and looked like she got hit by a truck. Poor little mite was so sick. Then she came down with RSV, then bronchitis, and then pneumonia. She had been scheduled for surgery (ear tubes) in February, but that got kicked back until she recovered. She was sick for nearly 2 months. Would I do that again, OH HELL NO! Chicken pox can wreak all sorts of havoc on children as well as adults. Lets just vaccinate and get avoid them all together. Chicken pox are most contagious the 24 hours before the break out, so can you imagine the number of children and adults we likely exposed? Oy vey. This was 1994, we've learned so much since then.

In all the years I have shared my home with cats I have always fed canned cat food in the morning, and dry available for free feeding throughout the day. My girls were started with Trader Joe's Tuna cat food. And then TJ stopped selling it. So I've tried the other TJs foods, and they did not seem to care for it. So I tried the Friskies from the grocery store, and mixed results. Miss Zelda eats anything and plays with the dry food. Miss Xena doesn't seem to eat any of the canned stuff, but will eat the dry, she also looks like she has lost some weight which is not a problem. The girls used to race me to the kitchen in the morning and dive into the canned food as soon as I set it down. Now they might race me to the kitchen, but they wander off when I set the food down. They're not starving so I'm not worried, but a bit annoyed with TJs.

I have never seen this before, anybody else?🤔

I have had a fish on my car, and I got over it. Not the current car... Now when I see it on a car I judge them. If they are not a good, observant, nice driver then I wish them to hell. 21 years is a good run for a cat. When I had to send my heart cat to the Rainbow Bridge I knew I'd never have another kitty like her, she was especially people bonded. A few months after she passed I got Xena, and about 10 months later I got Zelda. I love my girls, but they're not Miss Millie. Miss Millie will forever be the ultimate heart cat. Give yourself time to mourn, and then get another baby that needs you. My house just isn't my home without a kitty, or two.

I also crochet, I have an afghan in progress for my 31 year old daughter, and I've just started teaching her to crochet. Her sisters learned at a younger age, but she had no interest until very recently, now she is hooked. I have a quilt in progress that I would like to get done this year. My only other goal is to break the sugar addiction again and take off the weight I've gained since I started my job last March. I have one more family birthday in 2 weeks. After that, the sugar goes.

Is godless heathen a redundancy? So I Googled it, and heathen is someone who does not believe in the Abrahamic religions, so not redundant and I accept the sobriquet of godless heathen with grace and dignity.

There are no guarantees in life, I've thought I found the right person a few times, only they flaked. So I decided I am the right person for me. I stick with me through thick and thin. So no matter who wanders into my life and potentially out again, If I meet someone who fits in with me I will welcome them, but I will never fully depend on them. Especially now when I feel the effects of aging, and having lost several cousins. Tomorrow is not promised. I'm not going to settle just to have someone in my life, I am also not going to hold too closely. I'm never truly alone, I have my kitties and my kiddoes when I need them.

When I was a child I had realization one day that I would be alive in the year 2000, and how old I would be. This must have been in the mid to late 60s. It seemed so far away and so old!!! Now we're looking at 2020, and I am looking at being 62 in just a few days. In some ways I don't feel older than I was then, and in some ways I feel quite old. I wish I could tell younger me some things, but then those things that shaped me into me wouldn't have happened. Soo, my plan is to hold on to the loved ones and buckle up for a wild ride. This year could be a wild one.
