I'm loving the flat top haircut, and the Papa Bear T shirt. He's from Virginia Beach, and with the haircut I'm thinking he's military.
Here's a photo of one of my son's 4 cats, Leia. She's so beautiful just had to share it.

Ya know, by the time you've reached your age you've put a few miles on, done some stuff and forgotten about half of it. You're not going to get someone's life story in a first date. Don't rush it, and enjoy the process.

I've had guys pop the question or make declarations within days of online conversations, when we've never met in person. Just no, nope, never. I am upfront with them, no declarations of any sort that are not in person. No talk of a future until we've met face to face. Thank goodness they think we're stupid, it gets the BS out of the way quickly and we can go on with our lives.

I often wake up to a kitty snuggling next to me. Oh, I had that when I was married too. My ex never wanted or allowed contact while he was sleeping, no cuddling no touching. I and my cat had my third of the King size bed, he had his third and the middle was literally uninhabited.
I have no faith in god(s).

Turns out my knowledge of Ohio is deficient. However, I included the whole state. I found my local Humanist group, and then the American Humanist Association website. From the website you can find chapters in your area: https://americanhumanist.org/get-involved/find-or-start-a-chapter/ I have been active with my local chapter for almost 3 years I think. They are an awesome group of folks and we have great conversations, do some public good, and it is so good to spend time with like minded adults. So check out the link, see if there is anything near you. Also try Meet Up, you might find groups of non believers that way. Omaha (my city) had a Meet Up group called REASON, and I think that stands for Rationalists, Empiricists, And Skeptics Of Nebraska. Many members of REASON are also members of the Humanist group. Don't give up, there are others out there, sometimes you just have to hunt them down.

Can we say "emotional blackmail?" Don't fall for it. I tend to agree with your therapist, but then I've had different life experiences than you have had, I have pretty much done that. What is the worst that will happen if you don't go? If that happens can you live with it? Only you can make that decision, and when you do, do what is best for you. You have to be your advocate.

HippieChick58 comments on Apr 28, 2019:
I have a worm bin. It was in the kitchen but it got infested with fruit flies last fall, so it got moved to the garage. Then when it got REALLY cold I moved it into the basement. I will be moving it back to the garage soon. I love it, I switch it out about twice a year. Mine is only two bins, top and bottom; made out of plastic storage containers with lots of holes drilled in the right places. I will add the castings in the bottom bin to the garden soon, and then fill it with damp shredded newspaper. Then it will become the top bin where I add the kitchen scraps. The worm will travel to the top bin when they are finished with the bottom bin. I find it fascinating!

Well, Mother Nature out here in Nebraska needs to warm it up a bit. The grandbabies, my girls, and I went for a walk today, and we cut it short because we were worried about the grands getting too cold. Forecast was to get to 60° and then drop after lunch. I don't think it got to 48° and the wind was blowing. Definitely a day for many layers. I had thought about getting my garden planted today, but that is going to wait.

Why Romantic Relationships are not the Cure for Loneliness.
HippieChick58 comments on Apr 26, 2019:
I was lonelier married than I ever have been single. When I was married towards the end I was lonely because he made other things his priority and we had no intimacy or connection. He didn't care about my feelings or needs. When I told him I was depressed he told me he didn't want to hear about it because it was so depressing. Seriously, that was his reply. Like it is catching. So, I found other friends, other activities and my own life. And I found I like peaceful solitude and no unwelcome visitors. I'm alone most of the time, but far less lonely.

But the act of caring for her, skin to skin contact, and time created the bond between us.

I don't have an opportunity to meet many single men in my day to day life, so online is the only way to meet someone. What are ya gonna do? However, I've mostly given up, I'm resigned that I am Ms Right for me, gotta be. I think that most people are the same way, there are just not places or time for singles to hang out, especially once you're out of colllege/High school. I'm so far out of those, and don't go to church, so no options to really meet people.
