I’ve experienced this: “But you’re ethical, so how can you not believe in God?”
HippieChick58 comments on Feb 21, 2019:
I am starting a new job on March 4th. I know the department manager is an xian, she has stuff all over her office to make me think that. My supervisor I'm not sure about. Generally older ladies in Nebraska will be xian because that is the default value. I'm not going to make an issue of my heathenism, I just want to do my 8 hours and go home. And god and ethics, please. The god of the xian bible is a rotten bastard.

HippieChick58 comments on Feb 20, 2019:
A U.S. Coast Guard lieutenant and self-identified white nationalist was arrested after federal investigators uncovered a cache of weapons and ammunition in his Maryland home that authorities say he stockpiled to launch a widespread domestic terrorist attack targeting politicians and journalists. Christopher Paul Hasson called for “focused violence” to “establish a white homeland” and said, “I am dreaming of a way to kill almost every last person on the earth,” in one of his letters that contemplated launching a biological plague, according to court records filed in U.S. District Court in Maryland. Though court documents do not detail a specific planned date for an attack, the government said he had been amassing supplies and weapons since at least 2017, developed a spreadsheet of targets that included House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and searched the Internet using phrases such as “best place in dc to see congress people” and “are supreme court justices protected.” “The defendant intends to murder innocent civilians on a scale rarely seen in this country,” the government said in court documents filed this week, arguing that Hasson should stay in jail awaiting trial. Hasson, 49, of Silver Spring, is expected to appear before a judge for a detention hearing in federal court in Greenbelt at 1 p.m. Thursday. Hasson was arrested on charges of possessing illegal weapons and drugs on Friday, but the government said those charges are the “proverbial tip of the iceberg.” Officials with the U.S. attorney’s office in Maryland outlined Hasson’s alleged plans to spark chaos and destruction in court documents, describing a man obsessed with neo-fascist and neo-Nazi views. “Please send me your violence that I may unleash it onto their heads,” Hasson wrote in a letter that prosecutors said was found in his email drafts. “Guide my hate to make a lasting impression on this world.” A magistrate judge ordered the federal public defender’s office to represent Hasson; that office declined to comment Wednesday. Hasson has been working at the U.S. Coast Guard headquarters in Washington since 2016, according to court documents filed by prosecutors. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps between 1988 to 1993 and in the Army National Guard for about two years in the mid-1990s, the filings state. Agents with the FBI field office in Baltimore and the Coast Guard Investigative Service arrested Hasson on Friday, FBI Baltimore spokesman Dave Fitz confirmed. A Coast Guard spokesman, Lt. Cmdr. Scott McBride, said Wednesday that Hasson no longer works at Coast Guard headquarters. “An active duty Coast Guard member stationed at Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington, D.C., was arrested last week on illegal ...

I dated a guy who was not the sharpest tack in the box. He was nice enough. I got the vibe that he was really desperate to find a LTR. The biggest issue is I read ALL the time, I love to learn, and I'm politically opinionated and aware. He had not read a book since he graduated from HS and was quite proud of that fact. He had also not voted since GHWB. Then I found out his kids had been in gangs in the local area, and he was supporting some of his adult kids. And I went NOPE! Just one too many red flags there. What did I learn, always always always listen to your gut.

I think for the most part the older guys are trying to keep all their options open. I dated a guy once that was 68, and had a 15 and twin 13 year old girls. She wanted kids, he wanted her. The irony was he never saved for retirement, lived the high life, and when he had to retire ended up renting a room from his former mother in law, the grandmother of his daughters, and she is younger than he is. One date with him was enough, I don't want school age kids in my life, unless they are my grandchildren. His life just had too much drama and baggage for me to deal with.

For me having kids, especially all girls gave me a voice I wouldn't have used before. If someone messed with my kids I would become MamaBear all over them. My kids said it was a sight to behold, I have no memories except for the rage that my kids were threatened. I have become an encourager and an advocate. When I work with younger women and they do not own their voice I point it out to them. So many women will apologize for so many little things, and I tell them, you have a right to the space you are in. Don't apologize for that. When you need something for work, you are speaking for your organization, own that and don't soften the message. (My former job we had to have info from employers and doctors and often would have to follow up on it, again and again.) I wear my Agnostic.com shirt to the gym, and I've answered a few questions about it. When I grew up good girls didn't talk about sex, religion, or politics. I stomped that down into the dust a few times. And I have asked a man out recently. The old Virginia Slims slogan was "you've come a long way, baby."

I had my immunization records checked, I had titers drawn, and a TB tine test, I was poked, prodded, and weighed. I got a lecture on hand hygiene, and on ergonomics. The TB test has been read, it is negative. I have to go back next week for a second TB tine test (CDC guidelines) and if the titer results are back I will be given immunizations for anything I am lacking. I am willing and quite happy to get the additional immunizations. It is called herd immunity, and I am quite happy to not carry any bugs. It benefits society as a whole, and in particular those that are youngest and weakest, and in doing so will also benefit my grandbabies. It is just sooo stupid and sooooo moronic NOT to! HippieChick58 comments on Feb 17, 2019:
I could write a book on that one, it is a huge part of my autobiography. Long story short - I had doubts for so long that I ignored because being a good christian mom/wife was what I needed to be for the life I had. When the disconnect between who I was and how I was living started to get increasingly uncomfortable, and I could no longer stuff down the truth I had to make changes. I got a divorce and then had to acknowledge the Xian church does really not have a role for middle aged divorcees. They just don't fit in the picture. So being away from the weekly brainwashing allowed all the truth to surface and I had to find a new identity and I embraced my heathen side.

It is adorable. It is called a Chimera cat. According to Geekologie.com, a chimera cat is one individual organism, but genetically its own fraternal twin. The chimera is formed from the merging of two nonidentical twins, therefore they can be male, female, or hermaphroditic. Basically what that means is it was two embryos that merged together, making the cat look like it's two different patterns. Sometimes the difference is not as obvious as the face fur, it could be a hitchhiker's thumb and one straight thumb, eyes of slightly different colors, or completely undetectable.

January 13, 2021 My newest and smallest grandchild. She arrived 5 weeks early and is now 2.5 weeks old and is less than 7 pounds. I've never held such a small baby before. She is quite perfect and very amazing. I love being a Grammy.
