Currently I have the first two, Xena and Zelda. The kitty in the third picture is my heart cat Miss Millie. She was blind for the last 5 or 6 years of her life. The golden is Chief, we got him in 1996. He was the son I never gave birth to and the best brother my human girls ever had. He passed on in 2011 I think.

I used to sit near the tree in the dark, yes it was nice. I haven't put up a tree in years. Now that I have grandchildren my sister tells me I need a tree for when they visit. I'm going to make a Xmas tree quilt and find a place to hang that in December. No lights though.

I used to buy a Rand McNally Road Atlas annually. We used to keep track of where each of the girls had traveled with the atlas from their birth year. That was exhausting keeping that up, we traveled alot. Once I got GPS I stopped using maps except for Google Maps and MapQuest. I love my GPS. I have an old Garmin that I keep in my car for emergencies (like the cell is dead). It has lifetime updates so I try to bring it up to date annually, and I expect I'm only a year or two behind. Several years ago I arrived at the airport in San Antonio at midnight. Trying to read a map and navigate to my hotel in pitch black at 70mph was crazy. Once I got a GPS I never printed out another map.

My experience and what I'm learning is that we all have anxiety of some level most of the time. Just sometimes that level cranks up and disrupts life. The idea is to make peace with it. I have found some peace with meditation. My daughter's psych recommended an app called Calm, it is a guided meditation, good coaching, and many meditations for many situations. So I've used it since September. I think it is helping.

Seriously, depending on the grade, most teachers wouldn't have done that. That is the parents realm on how long they want their child to believe in that magic. We did the Santa myth with our kids until they had figured it out. And the older girls let their little sister believe in it for longer than they did. Childhood is about magic and innocence. If that was a Kindergarten teacher and my kid I'd have wanted to kick her ass. Now a second grader, maybe not. But that is the privilege of the parents. And the time to blab is AFTER Christmas for pete's sake. You don't burst the bubble before the date. Was it really a firing offense... depends on what else is in her file.

First of all, I think Admin is human and humans tend to have messy lives from time to time. I don't think Ag.com is going to die, it is highly successful and evolving like crazy. Some people are put off by the term Agnostic. I've been asked to explain what it means when I've worn the shirt. Call the mom and ask for suggestions. Moms know what the kids like/need/want. I used to send lists to my inlaws, and then they started sending me money and telling me to get it and wrap it. When the kids got to HS age we just gave them the money. The problem with random shopping is every kid is different and toys are not one size fits all.
