OH man!! The check one did me in!!! I talk people, especially seniors through the process of doing mobile deposits. I am a phone representative for a credit union. So I received a check last week, the first time in ages, and I did my a mobile deposit to my account at the company that employs me. I had to look all over my house for a dark surface with good lighting. I never thought to use the cat!! Although she is not solid black she is dark. I also doubt she would have held still for such indignity.

My great grandfather was definitely irascible. He was in a nursing home on his 99th birthday. They had a celebration for him, and he cussed them out. He told them he was 100 and get it right. He passed the next day. He was that way his whole life.

I have seen or heard of eudamonia in several contexts over the years. It seems to boil down to having a life that has meaning or purpose. For each of us that can mean different things, but it seems that people who have figured out their purpose in life are more content and more at peace. I totally agree. I am far more comfortable with humanists/atheists who shoot straight than with xians who tear you down then ask for forgiveness. Or worse, they say they will pray for you. I was an xian for a few years. I'd "pray" as I was getting ready to sleep, but I'd usually fall asleep during the prayers. Prayer groups are a great cover for gossip sessions. Hug your babies as often as you can, because I have to wait until May to hug mine when they are back in the US. I won't get to hug them again until I go visit them sometime next year. (I have my passport and I'm learning to speak Dutch.)

I used to have snake plants in the bedroom, but the kitties did not treat them well, and the bedroom doesn't get much light. Now the snake plants are on the other side of the house and I have propagated a few and need to get the babies potted. Spider plants are also good for the bedroom for their air cleaning properties. I use lavender essential oil and jasmine essential oil in the bathtub when I want a good relaxing soak.

The CU I work for took over the NRA credit card line from FNB. I can usually tell within a few seconds when I'm speaking with an NRA member. They have an attitude that I can pick up on most of the time. I can check easily to confirm. I sure hope it was profitable for the company, I prefer to stay far away from any NRA members. Not all of them are awful, but I'd say it is over 50% in my experience.

30+ years ago I lived in Hampton, VA. There was a Kmart not too far away, and we passed it frequently when out and about. Our oldest used to recognize it by the K, she had started Kindergarten when we lived there. When she saw it she would know we were almost home.
