I see this in my job. I am a claims examiner for short term disability. Either vague diagnoses, or long ass waits for diagnostic testing. Medical care in the US is a huge crap shoot. As I will be out of a job in 10 days, I will be uninsured. That though is scary, and will be the motivation to find a new job as soon as I recover from this job.

My daughter moved into a very old house that had been updated. She has two cats, the female is a neurotic paranoid witch that seems friendly until she realizes you're a stranger, then she attacks. After moving in they realized they might have mice. Then psycho kitty confirmed it.... by killing said mousies. So psycho kitty has earned her keep, but she still gets shut in a bedroom when visitors come over.

Actually, Goggle street views shows my former roommate/renter sitting in my garage. He must have been waiting for a ride. I like to google places I used to live and see how they have changed. The house I grew up in had a huge old Locust tree in the front yard. That is gone now which is incredibly sad. It was a majestic old tree. I have moved 23 times in my life, I have lots of places to keep track of :)

I was actually mentally prepared to be escorted out by security. However, we agreed that I could resign and work down my caseload for the next week. So my last day at work is a week from tomorrow. They did suggest I take the rest of the day off, which was wise. It is a tough job, lots of "moving parts." I could deal ok with a load of 60 to 70 claims, but they want us to manage over 100. And my manager has said many times it is not a good fit for just anyone. I tried my damndest, but there comes a point you have to stop killing yourself. My anxiety levels have been off the charts for a very long time. My oldest will be having surgery in a few weeks, I will be available to help her with the baby as she recovers. And then I will seriously look for a new job.

My daughter "strongly suggested" that my potential dates be closer to my age than to her older sister's age. I was 27 when the oldest was born, so they should not be more than 14 years younger than I am. And the opposite side they just need to be reasonably healthy and in sound mind.

I was the same way about IF they got pregnant as a teen or while unmarried. I'd be there to help. Luckily we never had that experience. What they do or who they love won't change my love for them.

I used to have many, many, many. Then I started moving to apartments, and apartments didn't have good natural light. Then I move to house that doesn't have good natural light. And then I got KITTENS! Now I have maybe 7. Mostly where cats can't get them and also where I forget to water regularly.
