Unless you are desperate for a job do your basic research, she says as she is leaving a job. However, there are details of my job it was impossible to know until you are there, but I knew what the organization stood for. It has some great reviews. This place of employment, how could you miss that it is essentially an anti immigration organization. Just looking at their website gives me the heebie jeebies, and I'm ghostly white.

My mom missed out on all that, and my kids missed out on knowing my wonderful mother. This is why I will never move away from my babies, I want to have the full Grammy experience. I don't wanna live forever, but I want to be retired for a few years to watch my babies flourish. Bring it on, I'm ready!!

HippieChick58 comments on Aug 31, 2018:
Decompressing. Granddaughter is bringing her parents over, her dad will clean my gutters and do some odd jobs for me. I will entertain the munchkin while they are here. Munchkin will terrorize the cats, and they will keep egging her on. Her daddy will be in a Labor Day parade on Monday. I will spend some time sewing and reading, and cleaning and cooking, and whatever else NEEDS to be done. Cat boxes come to mind.... erk.

HippieChick58 comments on Aug 31, 2018:
Mothers Day 2008 or 2009. I had let my ex know I wanted a flower bed built in the back yard. My ex has a Xian Hymnal website. That year he wrote an Easter hymn. He used music from another hymn and wrote new words. Nothing about mothers or love or children. He dedicated that hymn to me on his website. When I opened the envelope and read the words and the dedication I almost barfed. He should not have quit his day job and I hate poetry anyway. I said "thank you." and changed the subject. In our divorce I specified that my name had to be taken off his website. Gag me, freaking gag me. I filed for divorce a few months later

The reality of health care in the USA:
HippieChick58 comments on Aug 30, 2018:
I see this in my job. I am a claims examiner for short term disability. Either vague diagnoses, or long ass waits for diagnostic testing. Medical care in the US is a huge crap shoot. So psycho kitty has earned her keep, but she still gets shut in a bedroom when visitors come over.

I was actually mentally prepared to be escorted out by security. However, we agreed that I could resign and work down my caseload for the next week. So my last day at work is a week from tomorrow. They did suggest I take the rest of the day off, which was wise. It is a tough job, lots of "moving parts." I could deal ok with a load of 60 to 70 claims, but they want us to manage over 100. And my manager has said many times it is not a good fit for just anyone. I tried my damndest, but there comes a point you have to stop killing yourself. My anxiety levels have been off the charts for a very long time. My oldest will be having surgery in a few weeks, I will be available to help her with the baby as she recovers. And then I will seriously look for a new job.
