I've decided I'm about as me as I can be. I've been developing me for a long damn time, and this is it. You either love me, accept me, or get the hell outta my way. I don't have all that many years left and I'm not wasting time with folks who don't matter. I'm not exciting, or particularly good looking. I'm smart enough for me. I've got too much damn stuff but that is a work in progress. But ME, the heart of me, the real me is not for everyone and I'm fine with that. Limited energy, limited time, and limited give a damns, I'm going to go with making ME happy. And I just decided I need to frame that and put it on my desk at work. Think my manager would mind?

What kind of restaurant are these people going to, and what/how much are they drinking. I haven't spent $40 on a meal in a hugely long time. I figure $102/2 is $51, movie tickets around $10. That is some fancy dinner. And I don't want to go to a movie on a first date. It really kills conversation.

I have lived overseas and all over the US. When I lived in Germany I did some traveling. Right now when I am looking for a destination I am looking for where I haven't been before and where I can go reasonably affordably. I wanted to go to Winnipeg, CA, but I let my passport expire. I need to renew. So instead I will stay in the US. I have not been to New Mexico, so that might be my next trip.

I don't really have a plan ?

AAAALLLLLLLLLL the time!! I keep a radio on both upstairs and downstairs in my house. The one downstairs only goes off if I watch TV. I keep a radio on in the car unless I have passengers to talk to. I'd listen at work but I'd have to have it on headphones, which I'd have to take off every 3 minutes to make or take a phone call.

Well my cat Spike just caught a mouse, in the house! He's been sitting by and peering under the door...

Good job Spikey!! Earn your kibble. My daughter moved into a 1900s house that had been reno'ed. After a couple of days her cat was acting funny, and then she found a couple of dead mice. Her anti social cat has earned her kibble for a long time. She may not be cuddly, but she is a mouser!

We're all usually preoccupied about what is best for us. The only people whose opinions I will consider are my children's opinions, and I know they want what is best for me. My mom died at age 45 (1972) of ovarian cancer. That I am alive at 60 tends to confuse me. I didn't plan to be here, but I didn't plan to not be here either. Some days I plan to have an ending like Thelma and Louise, and then other days I hope to die in my sleep. The only thing I am sure of is how I DON'T want to go. No machines, no toxic drugs, no lingering.
