I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my mom to ovarian cancer :( She was 45, I was 14. I used to get transvaginal ultrasounds when I was in my 40s, just to keep an eye on things. Now I'm not so worried about it.

We use judgements to keep alive. How fast it that car moving, can I beat it through this intersection? It that animal threating or good food? I am going to judge everyone I see, is that person a threat or a friend? It is hardwired into us. Now judging people on superficial things, like style of dress, cleanliness, attitude. Hopefully we have filters to get rid of all that doesn't matter but it is the way we're conditioned, trained, and experience. Whether you want to admit it or not, we can't go without making judgements about people, animals or the world in general. It is a survival instinct. Judging that all orange people are bad, well hopefully we individually have filters to accept that not all orange people are bad.

Fleas are the very devil. Glad your puppies are better. In 1988 we moved to Hampton, VA with a 3 year old and a bald 3 month old baby. And two cats. So one day as I'm nursing the baby I notice a flea on her! I freaked! Soon after we spent some time on the patio with cats in their crates, baby in a play pen, and supplies for the day as I set flea bombs throughout the house. Cats got flea baths and combed as were out there. We did that about 2 weeks apart. The family that lived in the house before us had a huge shaggy dog and 4 boys that were constantly covered with fleas and poison ivy. Yes, the back fence was covered with poison ivy. That came down sometime after. That was before I knew how toxic Roundup was, but it solved the poison ivy issue.

Instructed by "She who must be obeyed" to open that and drink it.

Please, save yourself the heartache. I went to my 20th, I have no idea who most of those people were. I had little in common with them then, and less in common at the 20 year point. I took a totally different route than the majority of my classmates. I'm not the same person I was in HS, those were not the best days of my life. My 40th was two years ago, I skipped it with no regrets.

Get an Instant Pot. You can use it as a crock pot, or pressure cooker, or deep fryer, steamer, etc. I have a large one, and rarely use my crock pot unless the Instant pot is in use. I use the Instant pot nearly every week. I've had it over a year, still love it.

Your OB/GYN is a specialist for women's issues, s/he will have limited training in psychological issues and treatment. You wouldn't go to your OB/GYN for a broken leg would you? Even Family Practice doctors are not well trained in mental health issues. Check with your health insurance to see if there are any behavioral health practitioners in your area that take your insurance. I can access the doctors who take my insurance online, maybe you can as well. You may need both a therapist and a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist will prescribe the drugs, the therapist will provide counseling. Your family sounds harsh and unsupportive, however that is not uncommon. You may have to meet different therapists until you find one you can feel comfortable with. Despite what your family feels depression/anxiety and other mental health issues are "real" diseases and can cause real disability.

I first experienced depression in my 20s. Single, in the Army, not a good fit, not at all doing anything career wise that I was interested in.I wouldn't have said I was a xian then, I was pretty flighty back then. I experienced depression off an on for several years in my 30s and 40s, while I was trying to be a good Xian. And I have had anxiety and depression off an on through my 50s while being openly atheist. So, no connection for me between religion or lack thereof and depression.

I am an introvert, and current count is 449 friends. That is down from over 600. I used to be a SAHM, and I used to play several games on FB. The games are far more fun if you have friends that are players, you get more stuff. Trump's election brought a purge, and I've been purging non active folks and those I never have any contact with.

My quandary of the day. The decision was much tougher than it should have been.
