I first experienced depression in my 20s. Single, in the Army, not a good fit, not at all doing anything career wise that I was interested in.I wouldn't have said I was a xian then, I was pretty flighty back then. I experienced depression off an on for several years in my 30s and 40s, while I was trying to be a good Xian. And I have had anxiety and depression off an on through my 50s while being openly atheist. So, no connection for me between religion or lack thereof and depression.

I am an introvert, and current count is 449 friends. That is down from over 600. I used to be a SAHM, and I used to play several games on FB. The games are far more fun if you have friends that are players, you get more stuff. Trump's election brought a purge, and I've been purging non active folks and those I never have any contact with.

My quandary of the day. The decision was much tougher than it should have been.

When my oldest was 5 and middle child 2 we took a long car trip. In the morning the 2 year old wanted to play and the oldest wanted to read. After lunch the younger would fall asleep and the older child was ready to play. Those two didn't get in sync until...... I'm not sure they're in sync yet.

Do you have a rule when meeting someone online on how long you will talk/text before you meet.

I push to meeting in person reasonably quickly. You learn much more about a person face to face than in weeks of messages. Besides, I'm looking local. If you're too busy to meet you're too busy for a relationship. And it weeds out the scammers.

My children tell me that any person I date should be closer to my age than to my oldest daughter's age. So 13 years younger, there is really no upper limit. I dated a guy once who was 18 years older than me. His son was within a few years of my age. He was very condescending and reminded me of my dad, so that would not have worked. Then within a few months of that date I saw in the newspaper that they had both died on the same day. Yoicks!! No guarantees in this life.

I recycle anything that I can, and avoid using products that cannot be recycled. I sell clothing I no longer want/need on eBay. I make my own deodorant and toothpaste and reuse the containers for the next batch. I but stuff in glass containers as often as I can and the glass gets recycled. Plastics and paper I can recycle with my weekly trash pick up at home. Food scraps get recycled to my worm box or compost bin. I don't use much in the way of disposable paper products, I use cloth and wash and reuse. About 15 years ago I made cloth shopping bags which reduces the number of grocery bags I use. I do use plastic shopping bags when I clean out the kitty boxes.

During this past winter I went to a restaurant for breakfast. It was seat yourself, I took an empty table where I thought I'd be warm enough with the door opening. One of the waitresses took my order and brought my drink, then another waitress "suggested" I move to a smaller table as they had a bigger party come in. Problem was the new table was out of the line of sight and cold. After waiting for my food for a long time, my waitress finally saw me and said she thought I had left and canceled my order. I was hugely torked and walked out.

I used POF and OKCupid, got tired of the freakshows, and scammers I was meeting. There are a few people who have found someone on this site. I have made a good friend. And then there are just good supportive peeps on this site. I have not encountered any scammers yet. As for freakshows, we all have our definition of that. But I came for the dating site, and I'm staying for the community. Lots of awesome people here.

I see that frequently from both genders. Part of the disability claim forms include height and weight. People get really hung up on that, but it is a measure of health. But seriously, who gives a darn about .5 inch. Turns out lots of folks. I see the figures not only from the claimant/patient but also from the doctor, and sometimes the difference is really large. Wishful thinking, or denial.
