Junk mail. Why does 75% or more of my mail go from my mail box to the recycling bin? On Tuesday evening the recycling bin gets moved to where the mail box is, maybe I should leave it there. Just happens that the mailbox is beside the end of my driveway.
I just checked my hidden messages on FB.

HippieChick58 comments on May 21, 2018:
Have you talked to her? Honest open communication. Seriously, I avoided intimacy with my ex for the last 5 years of our marriage because I realized he loved his f**king xian website more than me. Once the hurt and anger faded I was absolutely indifferent to him. I used my toys when he slept. So, time for a good chat with the missus. If she is having post menopause issues insist that she go see her doctor. And if you wanna look up buybull verses that can help you out, fight fire with fire. How many of you atheist are pro-life? Just curious
HippieChick58 comments on May 20, 2018:
Sister Joan Chittister, a nun in the Catholic church has this to say: "I do not believe that just because you're opposed to abortion that that makes you pro-life. In fact, I think in many cases, your morality is deeply lacking if all you want is a child born but not a child fed, not a child educated, not a child housed. And why would I think that you don't? Because you don't want any tax money to go there. That's not pro-life. That's pro-birth. We need a much broader conversation on what the morality of pro-life is." https://www.popsugar.com/news/Catholic-Nun-Quote-Abortion-43096831
If a woman wants an abortion should the father have a right to keep the child?
HippieChick58 comments on May 20, 2018:
Do you realize that in 2018 women still die giving birth? So you want to insist that I carry through a pregnancy that could end up costing my life. What are you willing to pay me that would equal that cost? Lets say I don't die. I admit it is rare, and utterly tragic when it does happen. But I carry the baby for 9 months. My kidneys, liver, heart, bladder, muscles, ligaments and tendons will never be the same. What is the price for that? After birth even with modern medicine my milk is going to come in. I will be uncomfortable, hormonal, and physically debilitated for at least 6 to 8 weeks. Not to mention that your body NEVER goes back to prepregnancy shape. Can you really afford that? I'm not willing to do that for a schmoe I had a one night stand with. If you want a baby hire a surrogate with a contract that spells out everything. And yes, if a woman wants a baby there are sperm banks out there, she can do it without involving a biological father. No it doesn't seem fair but life is like that sometimes.
How many of you atheist are pro-life? Just curious

But seriously, the doctor has years of training and great machinery in his office. If it is nothing you have peace of mind. If it is not nothing then you caught it early and might save you some pain and time on down the road.
Insomnia...
HippieChick58 comments on May 20, 2018:
I have had troubles with insomnia off and on since my teens. Currently it is job stress. I wake up reading chart notes or emails. Is something bothering you? Sometimes dealing with an issue will help. I have some herbal teas that help. Exercise during the days helps. A long soak in a hot bath with Epsom Salts will help me fall asleep. And if all that doesn't work, booze, benadryl, or just giving up.
I can never understand cats love taking over dog toys.
HippieChick58 comments on May 20, 2018:
I've seen toys for babies that are the same as toys for dogs. And my cats are fascinated by the baby toys, at least for a few minutes. The baby had a blast with some of the cat toys. I don't think toys are species specific.
As an atheist, how do you handle the thought of death?
HippieChick58 comments on May 20, 2018:
When I was 14 my mother died of Ovarian Cancer, she was 45. I'm now 60. Sometime in the years after mom died I read an article that essentially said IF you knew you were going to die tomorrow, what would you do differently today? Having experienced death of the most important person in my life at that time, I knew how fast things could change. So, if I die tomorrow am I ready. Well, my kids need some passwords to handle my affairs efficiently, but they know how much I love them and we have a solid relationship. My job is going to go on without me just fine. Death is inevitable, it is coming sooner or later, and I'm about as ready as I can be. Yes, I need to get passwords and POAs for the kids, but I'm not going to lose sleep on that one. In the mean time, I have a life such as it is, and I will continue about the same as I was before.

As an atheist, how do you handle the thought of death?
HippieChick58 comments on May 20, 2018:
All life dies at some point. It is a part of life, it is inevitable. When my time comes I just don't want pain or machines. I don't fear it, I don't necessarily welcome it, but when it comes it comes.

What clothing if any do you like to wear when watching TV?
HippieChick58 comments on May 20, 2018:
I wear whatever I've had on most of the day. I don't change clothes often, and I keep clothes on while I am up because I like to keep the blinds open and don't want to freak out the neighbors. I suppose my best answer would be work clothes, but the clothes I'm wearing today when I'm not working could be worn to work. Are they work clothes or leisure clothes, and in my leisure time I'm working to get ready for next week; housework and that stuff. And for that matter I don't think the TV has been on in a week.

Are social expectations an influence on how parents feel towards their children?
HippieChick58 comments on May 19, 2018:
I can only speak for me. Just taking care of a baby causes those bonding hormones to kick in. I had moments when I didn't LIKE my kids very much, but I always loved them, I would always have given my life for them.
How do people feel about people who are childless?
HippieChick58 comments on May 19, 2018:
I think if you don't want children you should not have them. How tragic to be brought into the world when you're unwanted. I think everyone needs to make the responsible choice. Don't make babies unless you're sure you want them and can take care of them. I applaud any woman who makes the choice NOT to have children because she does not want them. She is doing what is best for her and the child. One of my girls is the greatest aunt ever, but does not want to have babies. She has never wanted to have babies. Her body, her life, her choice and I support her and every other woman making that choice. And for the guys, if you don't want to have children, make sure you're not spilling fertile seed.

The term, ‘separated’ is a bit vague.
HippieChick58 comments on May 19, 2018:
True. I dated a man once who listed his status as separated. Well, he wanted a divorce, but was still living in the same house and she didn't know about his plans. That isn't separated, it is messed up. Even if you are separated waiting for the divorce to become final, IMHO, you're not ready for a few relationship for a while yet. You've got some emotional and financial work to do before you can move on.
I'm not interested in the royal wedding but, I must admit, I love any wedding that's not mine
HippieChick58 comments on May 19, 2018:
There is thrifty Scots blood in my heritage and I look at modern weddings and smh. The "average" wedding is well over $10,000. The average wedding gown costs over $2000. I used to watch "Say Yes to The Dress." Why do people spend so much money on a dress that will be worn once and for part of ONE DAY? $40,000 would be a nice down payment for a house that will last you the rest of your life. What are our priorities? I will never marry again. But if I did it would be a quick ceremony in front of a judge followed by a cocktail party type reception. Nice dress maybe but nothing over $200. And if the whole party costs more than $3000 something is horribly wrong.
Help! Sitting here in Discount Tire waiting for my work truck to get new tires and I'm being forced...
HippieChick58 comments on May 19, 2018:
I would ask to speak to the manager and ask if the tunz could be changed. I'd let them know I don't care for their choice in music. If they give pushback I'd email corporate and tell them I can find other places to get my tired done, and I'd put a comment on their FB page. I use a local discount tire, I don't remember any music in the waiting area.
What turns you on?
HippieChick58 comments on May 19, 2018:
Turn on: Intelligence, sense of humor, kindness, compassion, tolerance, caring, personality, charm. Turn offs: Bigotry, racism, intolerance, unkindness, impatience, poor personal hygiene. I had a date last summer with a good looking dude. As soon as he told me how much he liked DT, how he was a good business man, he became the ugliest man I'd ever met. Beauty is skin deep but ugly goes all the way to the bone.
