Some places are worse than others.
HippieChick58 comments on Feb 2, 2023:
I lived in and around St. Louis a few years ago. My ex's family lived in Webster Groves and I lived in Belleville, IL for about a year in 1992-1993. Nothing would ever make me want to settle there permanently, and this ruling just confirmed that.

HippieChick58 comments on Jan 31, 2023:
We've had two good snows, and that means most of the neighbors have cleared sidewalks and driveways. I wasn't going anywhere and I ignored it. My house faces south and the sun generally will take care of clearing walks/drive after a few days. I'm clear today after the snow on Sunday. My kid that moved to the Netherlands is about 700 miles north of where I am, she said daffodils are blooming already. They don't have much winter and the gulf stream keeps them warmer, though rainy rather than snowy.

HippieChick58 comments on Jan 28, 2023:
I don't think my money will last that long, and I surely don't want to keep working that long. Can you imagine the changes you'd have to get used to if you did live for 500 years. Just think of all the changes in the last 50 years, multiplied by more than 10. Plus the population problems we've got now with people dying at the time they do. If we lived longer, how would we all fit on the earth?

It amazes me how anyone thinks they can criticize anyone's body. Or anything about them for that matter. Especially at a fabric store which should be a safe place for ALL women. Fabrics don't care what you look like. Being one of the larger types of women, I have had my fair share of body shaming, my dad used to call me fat. The only time I was ever slim is when I was trying to get into the Army and trying to stay in the Army. I try not to judge people on what they look like because looks really don't matter. How they act says it all, and yes, I judge like hell on how someone acts.

I had the sweetest cat for many years. She was people bonded, she loved, loved, loved to snuggle. She wanted fulll body contact. She would sleep under the blankets with me. She passed a few weeks before my first granddaughter was born, so just over 6 years ago. I was having some work done in my house, and as soon as the work was done, I went to the human society and adopted another kitty. I now have two, and I know when I pass if I still have them my kiddoes will find good homes for them.

I'm also overweight, and I acknowledge I'm not a show horse, I'm more of a plodding plow horse. If someone doesn't like what I look like I seriously reconsider my relationship to them.
