Dog trainers have a saying that you get the dog you deserve.If you put time and energy into training a dog you will have a good dog, most of the time. With cats it is a crap shoot.

I have some regrets. However if I can't fix it I'm not going to lose sleep over it. Learn the lesson and move on.Make peace with the situation in whatever way you can and move forward knowing better and doing better. Anyone who has no regrets has lived so carefully that they have not really lived.

@gracelou what a saint you are (and I mean that in a totally non religious way) What a lucky girl she was to have found you. It makes me so angry that people dispose of inconvenient pets so quickly. It sounds like they did not take her needs into account when they made changes. It is sad for the animals. Thank you for sharing her story.

I was off and on POF many time in the last 8 or 10 years. I kept seeing mostly the same guys, several I already had messaged. Most of them are xians or default xians who think non believers are defective. The new faces were inevitably scammers. I decided I could better spend my time elsewhere.

Geeze, no wonder I'm always tired. The only thing I don't do is vacuum cuz I have a robovac. The only other thing self cleaning in this house is the cats, and I still do the litter box. FML.

When we were growing up the only acceptable orientation was straight. There were many of our generation who were pressured to ignore those feelings and even more pressure was put on to be/act heterosexual. I applaud you for making the move to explore that side of yourself. Unloading a lifetime of baggage is hard. Be safe in your journey.

Just one? Civics, critical thinking skills, basic life skills (sew on a button, change a tire, basic cooking) manging credit (the real cost of credit) and budgeting, business etiquette skills. I want to sit every kid down with one of those slick fashion magazines and have them pull out all the pages of nothing but advertising, and then calculate the price they are paying for the adverts, and assess the remaining articles. How many are making them feel bad about themselves to sell the crap in the advertising. I also want a refresher course in driving skills, why can no one merge onto the highways anymore? And OMG, how NOT to drive, put your damn phone down. I want every American kid to have to work in a nursing home for a semester. I want to teach them to always, always, always ask questions and especially of authority.
