I don't mean to sound snarky, but some cats are "discerning" when it comes to food. Then which ever brand is best is which brand that they will eat. My cats like and do well on one of the big grocery store brands, and I don't remember what brand that is. One will only eat the dry food. I also feed Friskies canned pate. I put it down in the morning, the younger cat will eat it, and she eats the dry food for the rest of the day. Keep fresh water out at all times. My cats are about 8 years old and 6 years old.

It was a shock that Chandler (Matthew Perry) passed on. But yes, celebrating longevity is fabulous because not everyone gets the same number of years. I was thrilled to make it to 46, because my mom died at 45. I'm glad to be hanging around to meet all my grands and watch them grow. Every day we have on this side of the dirt is a good thing.

Two of my grands live in the Netherlands now... They moved just over a year ago, of course with mom and dad. They are doing pretty well, and have been back to the US to visit and will be here at Christmas. I am doing fine. I have two grands that live about 10 miles away. I like my job, it's going well. Steady income is good. I had cataract surgery and I no longer need glasses. I have projects going on, I'm learning to speak Dutch and making a quilt for the granddaughter in the Netherlands. I'm exhausted, but it is a good exhaustion. I am hoping to make a trip to see the grands (and their parents) in the Netherlands next year. I read a few years ago that the secret to happiness is: Someone to love, something to do, and something to look forward to. I seem to have that now.
