Define love. I've found men looking for nurses with purses. That isn't love. I've found men looking only to get laid, and that isn't love. I haven't found the love that I need, and I'm not going to settle. I have no idea if he is out there, but for now I truly doubt what I need exists.

@Heidi68 I have plenty of love. I have my kids, my grands, my sister, and my kitties. I just got to spend time with Sammy today she is quite the apple of my eye. And when she's tried and cranky she gets to go home with her mommy and daddy. However, I think we all want the partnership/eros type of love, the one that says you're the one for me only.

Part of the reason blacks and all peoples of color is gerrymandering. Its only been in the last 5 years or so that I got into less fiction and more substantial stuff. I now belong to a book club through my Humanist group. I will recommend this book the next time we have to make a new list of books to read. Everyone gets to add two books to the list, and generally we read non fiction. I still read erotica/romances/bodice rippers from time to time, and other fiction. I also started reading Terry Pratchett on the recommendation of some site members. Honestly, sometimes the sheets don't get folded before they're put back on the bed, they might stay in the basket, or elsewhere, depends on how motivated I get. When I do fold the sheets, they are folded neatly and tucked away. The fitted sheet is in the middle, topped with the pillow cases, and the flat sheet surrounds them all, one nice neat package.

PSA: Instructions for folding fitted sheets.
CeliaVL comments on May 25, 2019:
I like pure cotton sheets which nearly always need to be ironed and I hate fitted sheets. I have got a few I bought in a sale and they are impossible to iron as well as to fold. They now stay at the bottom of the pile..
HippieChick58 replies on May 25, 2019:
Iron? What is the ironing you speak of? I have pure cotton sheets, and I don't think they've even been in the same room as the iron.

@AJimboShep82 I read 10% Happier a few years ago, and realized I've done some meditating much of my life, we just called it prayers. I was impressed by the description of taming the monkeys. Having given up prayer and xianity, I had not done much with meditation for a while. Then my daughter had a crisis and her psych recommended an app called Calm. I started using that, and made some changes in my life and it has really helped.

It wasn't my cousin, my cousin's account has been hacked, and the hacker is someone who has a grudge against Americans. However, when my cousin secures his account he will be able to read all of the conversation I had with the hacker. He's going to find out I'm a social justice warrior, and an atheist, and a liberal. The only part he might not already know is atheist, but I've never really hidden it.

My oldest did the nursery in shades of gray and I thought poor little guy! I made a quilt for him, in shades of gray, I nearly hated making it. Thank goodness it was a crib size, therefore small quilt. Most of my fixtures in my house are brushed nickle or something silvery. My sister and BFF loves the Gaines stuff, even visited their store in Texas. Well, she is almost perfect otherwise. I remember before HGTV there was another network with some home dec shows, where neighbors did a project in the other neighbors house, it really seemed like the decorators had it in for the families. There were some lawsuits and some unhappy neighbors. I'm not letting anyone else in my house to make decorating decisions. I may not have great taste, but I know what I like and am willing to live with.
