Amazing the stuff that is out there. If we have strong suspicion we alert site support or admin to let them make the final decision.

@indirect76 Ya know, I took a few minutes to think about this. I am one of the most compassionate people you could ever meet. What this guy did not only endangered himself, but other innocent bystanders as well. I am a proponent of gun control. I spent six years in the Army, I have fired and cleaned an M16A1 rifle. I have an expert badge. I got that badge the year you were born. Guns need to be regulated, gun owners need training and safety courses. Guns should be insured just like cars are. And NO ONE ever dies of embarrassment. I want this man used as an example of really stupid decisions and the need for gun control. I want him used as a horrible example of what can go wrong. I want him used as a warning to others that take the care and handling of dangerous weapons so lightly. I have NO sympathy for him, no one jot, tittle or iota. Jot used as a noun means very little amount. A tittle is a tiny amount or part of something. And iota means an extremely small amount. So no, he does not deserve sympathy or dignity. He lost his dignity when he stuck that weapon in his pants. Do you have any further questions?

Infoguy211 comments on Mar 2, 2019:
What is "420"???
HippieChick58 replies on Mar 2, 2019:
Various urban legends have grown up around the meaning of 420 and its connection to marijuana, but the true story behind it is surprisingly prosaic. In the early 1970s, a small group of hippie stoners at San Rafael High School in California used to meet at a designated location every day at 4:20 p.m. to smoke weed. They did this so regularly that members of the group—who called themselves the Waldos—began using the expression "420" as a euphemism for toking. The catchphrase spread beyond their immediate circle, beyond the high school they attended, and ultimately beyond California. Within a decade or two, pot smokers across the country were using it.

@FrayedBear Supposedly the last time the US was attacked was 9/11. Before that Pearl Harbor. No the US does not need a standing army as big as it is. Ok totally fucking bull shit. Racism comes in all colors. Racism is not tieded to a political party. It’s economic based, “I don’t want this group taking my shit.” If we’re making general statements then those that make a living off of racism are racist or at a minimum promote racism....
HippieChick58 replies on Feb 25, 2019:
@Jk1960 I don't know if it is education, because I also saw it in Japan and Korea, and I know it happens and happened in Germany as well when I was there. Germany in the 80s had "gastarbeiters" guest workers from Turkey. The discrimination was brutal, much like the Jim Crow era in the US. I don't "need" to know why it exists, I know it does exist and it is wrong. It is also hard to change.

I like to go to definitions when there are disagreements just so everyone is on the same page. RACISM: prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior. "a program to combat racism" synonyms: racial discrimination, racialism, racial prejudice/bigotry, xenophobia, chauvinism, bigotry, bias, intolerance; the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races. "theories of racism" I agree that racism is not tied to a political party, however it seems to be thoroughly entrenched in the Republican party, notable exceptions being Ben Carson among others. And yes, Racism is not limited to white folks. Japan and Korea have some issues with racism, they don't like mixed race babies especially if they are mixed black babies. At least that is they way it was when I was in the military and stationed in Japan. I do agree that those who make a living off of racism or promote racism are racist. How can they not be?

HippieChick58 replies on Feb 24, 2019:
@DiegoDonJuan My location is mentioned, all you need to do is hover, I am in the middle of the US, just north of you. Most medical research has been done on men. Yes, women are a major consumer of healthcare, especially younger women, that comes from having babies. Yes, studies now are looking for women, because studies for the last 50+ years were done on men. I work in the health care field, I am a mother and grandmother, I have children your age. The fact that studies have been done mostly on men has been established for most of my lifetime. Women are chronically undertreated by health care. If a man complains of pain he his medicated to the gills. If a woman complains she is seen as a whiner and left to suffer. It is well established and well documented. Things are now changing, but it is coming slowly.

I was reading Circe. https://books.google.com/books/about/CIRCE.html?id=Vu8vDwAAQBAJ=frontcover=kp_read_button#v=onepage&q&f=false My oldest daughter had read it or was reading it, so I checked it out of the library. I don't often stay up late reading, but I am returning to the 9 to 5 grind next month, so I am enjoying the freedom while I have it.
