And there were a few times when I would point it out to the gals I worked with, especially those senior to me. Own your statements. Good for you for giving him some guidance. He did come off as naive which is out of context for his stated age. However, if he is Autims/Aspergers then that would make sense. My former brother in law was a challenged individual but fairly independent. Sometimes he'd do stuff that just made us cringe. Life is harder for some.

Well, I feel somewhat better. I used to have a huge library. When I realized I had to move all those books by myself, plus needing the space for that many books, I quickly resold them. @twshield I usually fast from dinner to the next dinner. I fast for 24 hours but only really skip two meals. I can't sleep if I am hungry, so I choose to start after dinner. When I feel hungry during the day I drink water and find something to do, and that distracts me. Intermittent fasting is hotly debated in various communities. My trainer at my gym recommends against it. Others recommend for it. So I go by how I feel and how my numbers are doing. I'm no longer pre-diabetic, I feel good, and I'm losing body fat not muscle.

@Kafir IMHO, by the time they get to late high school it is too late to improve the English skills, and the teachers have great pressure to get the kids to graduation. If she was educated in the US she is part of the dumbing down of the curriculum that started when I was in school. No child left behind but also no child with a decent education.
