I have watched a few of those videos on FB. It sounds good, but I live in Tornado Alley, and I'm afraid that house could be gone with the wind in this area. And in Tornado Alley not having a basement is a huge concern. I'm also concerned for resale value. I know my house is now worth double from when I bought it, not that double is a huge amount. But would those houses have any resale value? And of course if a tornado does swing by there would be no resale. And then there is the insurance issue...

There was a comment from Uvalde shooting that it was too soon to talk about the shooting, they would wait for the grief to subside. Essentially they said they will never talk about it because that grief will NEVER subside. Those parents will never truly recover, they just learn to live with it. The children who's parents died will also always have a gaping hole in their lives. And if the authority figures don't deal with it there will always be an open gaping wound.

I don't have a gun in my home. I'm fairly sure I wouldn't freeze up based on my past training, but there are small children in my house from time to time and the risk of them finding anything hidden like a gun goes up every year as they get older and quicker. I have not had a gun in my home since my oldest child was born. I grew up with hunting rifles, my dad was a reloader. But it's not worth it to me. I do have a baseball bat in my closet. I'm also paranoid about locking my doors. I prefer not to face that test.

So many scammers use Social engineering ((in the context of information security) the use of deception to manipulate individuals into divulging confidential or personal information that may be used for fraudulent purposes.) I work for a credit union, I talk to people almost daily who have had encounters with scammers trying to get their information, and yes many have been on dating sites. No, it should NOT be raised. Guns need to be regulated and INSURED. Insurance companies will shut down the industry to avoid losses. All gun owners need to complete at least 40 hours of safety training to get a license, and additional training on gun safety annually. Personal liability insurance for all registered owners, and and limits to the amounts of ammo that can be purchased annually. Regulate guns like cars are regulated. Insurance companies are risk adverse, they will lock it down tighter than a damn drum. And automatic weapons need to be restricted to the military. Their only purpose is mass casualties and mayhem. No civilian needs one of those. If anyone wants the rush of firing one of those, let them enlist.
