I use a slightly more modern version of this. When I make quilts I like to starch my fabrics before cutting and sewing. While they are wet from the starch I hang them on the rack which is in the bathtub, so they can drip dry with no mess. I also hand wash a few more delicate things and I dry them on the rack. They're very handy to have, especially when your HOA forbids outside clotheslines.

I started a new job about 8 weeks ago, new field for me. Learning lots, and so far enjoying most of the job. It's still customer service, so still dealing with entitled and other wacky people. Real life is keeping me busy enough, lots of projects done and lots more to do. It's summer so the garden is starting to produce. Keeping busy helps to keep the feelings of loneliness at bay.

I am seeing rising numbers in various news sources. I still take precautions, I mask at some stores, and generally avoid going out very much. I have never been fond of crowded places so those are easy for me to avoid. I just can't wrap my head around why anyone would not want to vaccinate. Since the new variant is mostly affecting those that are not vaccinated I have trouble coming up with much sympathy for them. Hopefully this will cull the herd of those morons. I've known most of my life that I do not march in step with many of my fellow citizens, the pandemic has revealed there are far more out there that I don't see eye to eye with than I realized.

My goal for the rest of the year, and beyond is to stay gainfully employed. To pay down the debt caused by 5 months of unemployment during the pandemic. To eat healthy and get enough sleep. And lastly to continue knocking projects off my to do list, and in theory to not add projects to that list as fast as they come off. I don't know if that last one will ever be obtained while I am still alive.
