There are/were some members on this site that had the brains of a snake. I blocked lots of people at one time. Then I had a moment of weakness. For a New Year's experiment I unblocked everyone. It took less than a week for a good portion of those to be reblocked. Now when someone on this site is an arse, I block and don't look back. I expect more women to try to get IUDs. My youngest just had a baby and will be getting an IUD placed as soon as possible. I told my daughters ages ago to protect themselves, and they got on the pill or other birth control as soon as they wanted. The only reason I knew was because I had to take them to the MD. I didn't ask questions, I just provided consent. If birth control becomes illegal then that's a whole 'nother fight.

I work for a financial institution, luckily it is all remote and call center, so I never have to look at these people. I had a caller yesterday who was overdrawn, but it was our fault! He was in his 40s, and by his voice I'd guess white. He has a history of being overdrawn. How fricking entitled can you be? He did get his account paid up and active again, but OMG, he was unpleasant about it.

I have some baggies in my car that have some personal cleansing cloths, a pair of tube sox, a $5 bill, and some other small items I used to give out to folks panhandling on the side of the road. I still have some of those in my car where I can reach them from the driver's seat. When I was near Ft. Lewis (about 28 years ago) I used to see a guy with a large sign just off the I5 exit near Ft. Lewis/Mchord AFB that was asking for money. Kid was sick and we ended up taking that exit multiple times in a month or so, I'd see the same sign held by different guys. I notice patterns, and totally identical sign. They must be organized somehow.

Why are they so hung up on who wears what clothing? I only care that you're not naked in public; I just DON'T want to see that. My mom dressed me in my brother's hand me downs. My dad was seasonally unemployed (a brick mason in Nebraska where the winters can be a b--ch.) I was the first girl in the family, and there were lots of "boy's" clothing already owned. They were frugal people, I wore what we already had. Should my parents have been punished for that? It just doesn't make sense to me. I'm more likely to wear jean or slacks than a dress any day. Grandson had a Tball game today, these kidlets are 4 years old. They did not want to play today, way too hot and humid. That "game" ended after 30 minutes, no one was having a good time. Then grandson wanted to go to the playground, and his dad sighed and said OK. Kidlet wasn't on the playground for more than 10 minutes before he was ready to go home. I was ready to go home just walking from the parking lot to the field. I am so not a fan of summer weather. The idea of longer, hotter summers just blows my mind. When I'm told to go to hell (which happens surprisingly often) I frequently reply "I'm in Nebraska, I'm already there."

Frequently the locals would dump their unwanted critters on our streets. I cannot count the number of times I saw sick dogs running loose, and OMG cats by the dozens. It was really annoying, and the town was too small to have a dog catcher, and the local law enforcement was usually out fishing and didn't give a darn. That was one state I was thrilled to see in my rear view mirror.
