New stretchy dress I made.
HippieChick58 comments on Oct 10, 2021:
Your dress looks great, and I'm all for the natural look. I have thin, fine, naturally curly hair. In recent years I mostly keep it short. I wash my hair, comb it out, shake my head and go. If I want to fuss with it I can, but most of the time I let it do what it wants to do. I prefer to be low maintenance, YMMV.

My Bio Has Disappeared
HippieChick58 comments on Oct 9, 2021:
My experience on this and other sites has taught me that IF I have spent lots of time crafting, I need to save my work to a safe place before I post it. Things disappear and you never know if it is gremlins, glitches, or human error. At work I have a word doc with all the contents of my sticky notes, and I have lots of sticky notes. Some of the notes maybe I could get rid of, but I am not going to take the risk of having to look it up again when I need it 25 seconds ago. My bio for Ag.com is saved in a word doc as well. Just my experience, your mileage may vary.

I had a serger for about 30 years, loved that machine, and I made clothing for me and my girls, and I even made a red vest for my ex for Xmas. As the girls grew older they were "less appreciative" of my talents and the clothing I produced. I hadn't used my serger in a couple years and took it in for cleaning, and it was pretty much dead. For the last 10 or so years I've done mostly home dec stuff, mending, and quilts. I think about replacing the serger once in a while, and then I look at my budget and shake my head. Too many other higher priorities. My sewing machine is less than 10 years old so I'm good to go for a while.
