I hear this all day long! I am a member service rep for a credit union, and my callers are primarily connected to me due to credit card issues. I had a caller today with a similar call. I checked his card and no purchases. I took this job because "any port in a storm, any job while unemployed during a pandemic" but darn I'm finding it fascinating! And OMG I have learned a crap ton about personal finance. I had thought I was a fairly well informed consumer, wow. Not so much.

My goal for the rest of the year, and beyond is to stay gainfully employed. To pay down the debt caused by 5 months of unemployment during the pandemic. To eat healthy and get enough sleep. And lastly to continue knocking projects off my to do list, and in theory to not add projects to that list as fast as they come off. I don't know if that last one will ever be obtained while I am still alive.

I had to have the Heater and AC replaced a few years ago, so I also replaced the water heater as it was getting old as well. I got the tankless and I love it! My electric, gas, and water bills shrank.

I love rain, but not coming down so fast and hard that I cannot see 5 feet in front of my car. That happened on Saturday. We've had almost 3 inches in the past week, two of that came in a 24 hour period from Friday night to Saturday, along with hurricane force winds. Trees and fences are down, electricity was out for hours. mine for about 8 hours, friends were out over 24 hours. There was no peace of mind or snuggling with books during this last rain. We'll be cleaning up for weeks yet.
