Lots of insects have cycles like this. I remember being in eastern Massachusetts and some sort of grub had emerged after x number of years. We could not walk anywhere without crunching the damn critters. The decimated the leaves on hundreds of trees. The trees did releaf after that but for a few weeks it was really weird. I can't remember which critter it was, I'm sure it will come to me tomorrow at 0300.

It has been years since I set foot in WM. However, one of my kids worked for a company that was bought out by WM, so she's was working for them for several years. As they gave a really good employee discount, that is where she got most of her groceries. And when the Quarantine started, she started getting my groceries for me, so alas and alack, I've got WM bags in my house again. The sorta good news, she knew he job was winding down because they relocated all the operation here to California, and she chose not to make the move. She is an IT person and worked remotely, they kept her on to help with the transition, then delayed her termination due to Covid. As of the end of this month she is no longer a WM employee. She is unemployed in the midst of Covid, but at least she had a tidy severance package.

We did a Thanksgiving buffet one year when the house was on the market and I didn't want to mess up the kitchen or clean up the kitchen any more than I absolutely had to. One of the kids blew a gasket that we were at a hotel with an awesome buffet for Thanksgiving breakfast/dinner and not cooking at home. I tried coloring a few times. It elevated my anxieties so fast it wasn't funny. That would be interesting to explore sometime when I can deal with it. For me I have other relaxing hobbies so I am happy to leave the coloring books for others. I am a quilter, and sometimes I color in a diagram of what I plan for the quilt to look like.
