Again, people are people. Now their belief system may cause issues. I have dated a couple of men from India, and a couple of men from the middle east. I didn't like the way I was treated, they may have thought I was a bit uppity. The relationship did not continue. They did not fit into the lifestyle I had, and I was willing to change who I am. As people they were good people. Because of beliefs they held of how I should act and how they acted towards me it was not a viable relationship.

I went to Germany in 1980 (I think) when I was in the Army. They told us the squeal of the airplane tires hitting the runway was the sound of civil rights being dragged back to 1950. Now however, Angela Merkel is the leader of the Free World, and I'm sorta kinda wishing I'd stayed in Germany.

This is not the first time H&M has flirted on the edge of racist. It is in extremely poor taste given the times we live in. We are not post racism by any stretch of the imagination. I avoid H&M for many reasons, their choices are appalling. I vote with my pocket book and I vote against them.

Every time I went from one side of town to the other a new stretch of road was being rebuilt. Sadly this is how it has to be in large cities. And that takes money, doing it cheap just takes more money in the long run.

I liked being taller than most of the population (and I'm only 65" tall), and I loved, loved, loved the food. The bad part of being taller is I really stood out in the crowds being blonde. The people were always kind and tried to be helpful, but the language barrier was huge. I'd love to go back to Okinawa, and to the mainland. Maybe one day.

I cancelled cable after I saw Ted Cruz's face in my living room during the Iowa primary. I have a Roku, I stream Netflix and Amazon Prime and a few other. I have DVD and other stuff I don't remember the TLAs for. All in all I watch less than 5 hours of TV per week. Best part, No commercials.

WAY way way back in the dark ages of my life, when I was very young and stupid, and in the Army, I did hook up with a fellow soldier a few times. Once or twice it was a superior. No lasting repercussions, someone was either transferring in our out, or I was too oblivious to notice.

I have seen so many scams. My rule is if I haven't met you face to face you aren't a real person. Recently I had been corresponding with a "local" guy who went to Cyprus to do some work, he needed a new Macbook and watch because his got busted enroute and there was no one else to ask (poor baby). I asked for proof of identity and security for the loan. OMG, the stuff he sent. I wanted to see a picture of his driver's license, he left it at home while he traveled. It is morbidly amusing to see what they will come up with. Sadly I've known ladies that have sent big money to these creeps. I got unfriended by a Facebook friend when I let her know the man she was sending money to was now hitting me up for money. How terribly sad for her.

My oldest daughter is 33, so the gentleman needs to be closer to my age than to hers. I generally prefer men closer to my age, at least in their 50's but I'm willing to at least meet the younger man. Cloth. I have 6 inch squares of diaper cloth and flannel. Use once, toss in a basket and launder when the basket gets full or I'm almost out of cloths. I no longer remember how many I have, I have enough for two to three weeks, and they get washed with the towels.

Christmas wouldn't really be the birthday of Christ. The scriptures say that the shepherds were in the field with their flocks. In the winter the flocks aren't out in the fields. Mostly likely it would have been April. The early roman church co-opted Winter Solstice festivities to suck the locals into the delusion.

If I can't make a decision, or if I think it is not supported I have to send it to the clinical staff. They don't talk to the claimants (patients), they will make calls to the health care providers. @Kreig is right, having a nursing background can get you into all sorts of places that don't include hands on nursing.

I enjoyed being a SAHM, at least when the kids and spouse were not home, especially the spouse. I had lots of hobbies and some other activities, and spouse had a pretty good income. I do remember being not so fond of long weekends though.

How to figure it out, in part. Is it about her looks, her body, her 'attitude', or how she is treating you? Then it is likely harassment. It is respectful of her intelligence, her right to her own authority over her personhood, or her right to her space is is likely safe. If someone said what you want to say to your mom, your daughter, your sister, or your wife would you be OK with it? Would you be OK with saying what you want to say to your male boss? Would you want it said to you? That is just for starters.

I know... I used to find the Jewish people fascinating, I read lots about them and their history. Chaim Potok was one of my favorite authors. It was so unlike my quasi Christian Midwestern American middle class life. I read many stories of the Holocaust, and the pogroms. I have to admire their fortitude. Not all that long ago I read a book on the hidden Jewish contribution to American life, who knew Lane Bryant was Jewish?

January 13, 2021 My newest and smallest grandchild. She arrived 5 weeks early and is now 2.5 weeks old and is less than 7 pounds. I've never held such a small baby before. She is quite perfect and very amazing. I love being a Grammy.
