I keep my phone charged up, so if my power goes out I can use the flashlight in my pocket to find the candles. I have a gas stove so I have some heat. That is a good reminder to locate more of my emergency candles and stuff. I'm not sure where they are right now.

I have had a fish on my car, and I got over it. Not the current car... Now when I see it on a car I judge them. If they are not a good, observant, nice driver then I wish them to hell. OK, I wish most drivers to hell, especially during rush hour. But when you put that label out there you're saying you're called to a higher standard, and if you do that and don't meet the standard ALL THE TIME then everyone judges you, including so called xians who don't label their cars. Same as someone wearing a cross. I work with so many people that wear a necklace or other jewelry that marks them as xian, and the shit they do or say. The attitude is "we're forgiven" and mine is you're just stupid and gullible and using far too much oxygen. .... my goodness, how is that for a morning rant.

You have to protect yourself first. You can't help them if you're sick. Like on airplanes they say put your oxygen mask on first and then help others. If it made them worse then you weren't the person to be dealing with their problems.

21 years is a good run for a cat. When I had to send my heart cat to the Rainbow Bridge I knew I'd never have another kitty like her, she was especially people bonded. A few months after she passed I got Xena, and about 10 months later I got Zelda. I love my girls, but they're not Miss Millie. Miss Millie will forever be the ultimate heart cat. Give yourself time to mourn, and then get another baby that needs you. My house just isn't my home without a kitty, or two.

I use Goodreads, I read 41 books last year. I belong to a secular book club which accounts for about a third of the books. I love to use the library, I like books to be shared, I'm also damn cheap. I also crochet, I have an afghan in progress for my 31 year old daughter, and I've just started teaching her to crochet. Her sisters learned at a younger age, but she had no interest until very recently, now she is hooked. I have a quilt in progress that I would like to get done this year. My only other goal is to break the sugar addiction again and take off the weight I've gained since I started my job last March. I have one more family birthday in 2 weeks. After that, the sugar goes.

This is also the 12th day of Xmas, and according to the Xian calendar the day the Magi visited the baby (Epiphany). It is a holiday in Germany. I thought it was a PITA that they closed gas stations when I was traveling to visit friends on my birthday.

There are no guarantees in life, I've thought I found the right person a few times, only they flaked. So I decided I am the right person for me. I stick with me through thick and thin. So no matter who wanders into my life and potentially out again, If I meet someone who fits in with me I will welcome them, but I will never fully depend on them. Especially now when I feel the effects of aging, and having lost several cousins. Tomorrow is not promised. I'm not going to settle just to have someone in my life, I am also not going to hold too closely. I'm never truly alone, I have my kitties and my kiddoes when I need them.

When I was a child I had realization one day that I would be alive in the year 2000, and how old I would be. This must have been in the mid to late 60s. It seemed so far away and so old!!! Now we're looking at 2020, and I am looking at being 62 in just a few days. In some ways I don't feel older than I was then, and in some ways I feel quite old. I wish I could tell younger me some things, but then those things that shaped me into me wouldn't have happened. Soo, my plan is to hold on to the loved ones and buckle up for a wild ride. This year could be a wild one.

I remember when I was a kid, my youngest brother was in the room I shared with my sister, and we figured out how old we'd be in the year 2000, and thought that was pretty darn old. The bio is a doozy, the chap never learned proper punctuation or grammar. Location: Kentucky DC. Not on Google maps. Not a good picture of his face, dark glasses and dog. Few details, but does claim to be a non believer. One post that is reasonably written, and my guess is copy paste. But it is interesting and fitting for this site. He is following 38 members, including me. Mostly following females, there is one guy in there. They are from all over the place, mostly US. I see many hallmarks of a scammer. I'm not ready to say flat out scammer, but bears watching.

The pets my kids have are my grandbabies as much as the human babies.My kitties are their fur siblings. The dog we had when the kids were growing up was the son I never gave birth to.

I work in customer service for the billing office of a hospital... when my caller wishes me a Merry Christmas, I usually respond with "Thanks and same to you." I usually use "Happy Holidays," I don't want to offend anyone and we deal with a multi-ethnicity population. And then back in the day I was a "Happy Christmas and Merry New Year" type of person. I can be contrary and I will be :) as long as it gets a chuckle.
