My favorite quote is my Helen Keller -"I long to accomplish a great and noble task, but it is my chief duty to accomplish small tasks as if they were great and noble!"
I grew up on Long Island in New York in a very strict Catholic household. I am so happy to have been able to shake as much of that yoke as is humanly possible! I lived in Manhattan for 10 years after college and was always amazed at the amount of people that seem to ask me for directions - which I always happily gave (along with restaurant reviews and bargain shopping tips). I am outspoken, warm and possess a self-deprecating sense of humor. I love meeting new people and discovering their oddball quirks and traits - and people's unique experiences especially make them so much more interesting.
I am searching for someone who is good-hearted and has the depth and ability to keep it "real". Keeping-up-with-the-joneses and conspicuous consumption are a complete turn-off for me. I'm looking for someone unpretentious who knows that seeing the glass is always half-full is a choice. I strive to live simply but well. I am very down-to-earth and confident in saying I am one of the least materialistic people I know. The only 2 things I'm addicted to are eBay and NPR. I love live music, festivals, movies, the beach and spending afternoon trying out a new and complicated ethnic recipe.
