Intellect over Emotion. I was indoctrinated from a very young age by my mother. Pentacostal mainly with a few non denominational churches mixed in. 90 percent of the small cult like churches I attended believed in speaking in tongues, being slain in the spirit, healings, and every other magical belief. I was in my early 20s when I decided to read the Bible entirely. How could I have a book from an all powerful and all knowing entity that I worshipped. The old testament is so ridiculous that it didn't take long to see something was not right. It was a few months after that I became the first out spoken atheist that I knew in my small town. Today I'm proud to have reasoned my way out and I did it alone against literally everyone I knew telling me different
