Bio

I’ve resided in Colorado Springs since I was in 8th grade except for when I was at CU. I own my home in the foothills on the west side of CS. It’s a beautiful area free from the congestion in the rest of town. I’m a feminist and enjoy intelligent and secure women but a sense of humor is a must. I myself, keep an optimistic outlook, like to stay in the moment when I’m with my companion on a date. I have never abused or struck anyone.

 My daughter is 29 and living in New Orleans. We raised her to be strong, curious, creative, energetic, fun, determined and I believe she is a great and artistic young lady with a strong work ethic.  My present dog is 12, happy at home these days and like my others is very chill and friendly.  He has never been spanked but is not allowed on my furniture
  I love the outdoors and traveling.  I frequently hike, cross country ski, telemark ski, bicycle and enjoy live music; especially Americana festivals (I.e. MeadowGrass, Telluride, Lyons), blues, jazz and good rock like the Clash.  I enjoy doing as many of those things as I can with my female partner. I am not a “man cave” guy.  
  I am attracted to women who are conversant, have creative or focused minds and altruistic values.  All 4 of my long term adult relationships (6 yrs., 4 yrs,, 30 yrs., 2,5 yrs) have been with charming, smarter, friendly women, a few years younger.  I am still a lifetime good friend of my second girlfriend’s mother who is now 101 yrs old.  We frequently chat.
  I taught secondary school and at UCCS for 33 years. My wife of 30 years passed away in 2013 and I was in a relationship since then for over 2 years.  Both were lovely women who I greatly enjoyed.   
 According to my doc, I am in very good physical shape for my age.  I believe that I have been fortunate in life and have always been healthy. I enjoy being around younger adults more than hanging out with most people my age because I don’t like living in the past.  I still hope to leave the world a better place for my daughter and those who follow.
 If you are a Trump supporter, we won’t be compatible. I have been demonstrating against him since he was elected.  I have been a member of the ACLU for nearly 30 years, so yes, I have always considered myself a progressive rooted in constitutional protections for all Americans.  I was discharged from the Air Force Academy, where I was stationed (not a cadet) as a conscientious objector during Vietnam.
