Short rant: I work for a public school system.
Jolanta comments on Aug 2, 2018:
I live in Australia and we never have to put up with this kind of rubbish, although our right wing government has done something really stupid. They have put in religious people into schools as counsellors. What is needed are professional counsellors not some religious nutters.

@patchoullijulie so it is, however we are going to the polls this year and all the pre polls suggest that they are going to loose, yay.
Who has fruit trees?
Jolanta comments on Aug 1, 2018:
I have peach trees, a cherry tree and an almond tree. The birds usually get it all.

@helionoftroy It's my fault I should net the almond tree and pay more attention to the other trees

No, it is not necessary to do that. It normalizes bad language and we don't need any more "bad" stuff in this world.

I live about 150 km west of New York and have been there many times (had an aunt who lived there) and there is just so much to see and do. To do just the main spots you need about a month. The weather for the next 2 weeks looks good, so that shouldn't be a problem. Welcome to this side of the planet...

@maturin1919 I did, and I am surprised that you are asking. Well here it goes. The question was, Do you often use profanities, and I don't I don't like them, I don't use them. What is the point in talking to someone if every second word is a profanity (bad word), it takes away the joy of conversation, gets in the way of and makes the communication unimportant if someone has to swear all the time. In my eyes I lose respect for people who has to do it all the time.
