I have been thinking about how different cultures get something said about them or another. It is not only Jews that get tarred with a horrible brush, but other cultures too. I wonder why it is so. How do these things come up, that people accuse people from different cultures to be or to act one way or another? Are they just urban myths? Is it something someone comes up with and it gets spread around like it was gospel, or is there something to it? One has only to look at Chinese whispers to see how something that someone says is changed after just very few people have been told it. I personally think that when people do not know others it is easy for them to imagine that those things being said about them are true, especially if their own lives are not so happy then it is easy to look for a scapegoat. It's is horrible the way some people behave. I have come upon racism myself. As I am originally from Europe but live in Australia. I speak with a slight Scandinavian accent and sometimes at work when people call they want to speak to an Australian they say, they want to speak to my supervisor or someone higher up.
