Older, but still active. Had a career for many years in Human Services management before hitting burnt out and becoming a chef. Biggest hobby now is brewing beer and occasionally going fishing. Used to believe in God, even taught contemporary theology for a while and considered going into the ministry. As I got older and studied people and other religious systems (native American beliefs, other indigenous beliefs, as well as conventional religions) I became less convinced. I now see religion as necessary for some who need a simple way to make sense of the world rather than trying to actually understand it. Religion does serve a useful function in moral teaching, not so much as indoctrination into specific religious beliefs but as a guide to how to treat others
