I was raised Catholic, which probably explains why I'm agnostic. My dad was really Catholic and my mom had converted from Methodist when she married, but I found out after she died that she was actually an atheist. In any event I was never given strong direction believe in a god, so I figured it out for myself and stopped believing when I was about 7-8 years old. Of course, my mom promised to raise us kids Catholic, so I continued to attend church until I was 18 and could finally stop. I never got much from it. Perhaps the one thing that I did get from it is to live by the Golden Rule. I do try to treat others as I would like to be treated. We're all human beings on this planet.
