Perhaps drug and alcohol treatment centers could also be a red flag. The numbers of mental issues among drug users, alcoholics and even smokers is very high.

I've always felt it's not really about conservative liberal, democrat or republican, it's about whether or not we see ourselves as a Cooperative pack animal or a cat like independent Hunter. No man is a self-made millionaire. Someone had to give birth to that man, someone had to raise that man, educate that man, the clothes on your back the food that you ate was probably not made completely by you. All of the things that you enjoy and use were made ,processed, marketed a d shipped by hundreds of people. When they go down and they're struggling to survive because of low wages and bad working conditions you're going to feel it. When a disaster strikes a human ,you're going to see a level of cooperation and people pulling together to try to get through that bad time. So this person took their gun out and pointed it at you? You must have called the police right? In all seriousness, at least it would have deterred a robber from coming into the restaurant. But if it was a hardened criminal they would have just shot the person with the gun first.
Kojaksmom replies on May 24, 2018:
I don't trust people, I particularly do not trust men.why would I automatically assume that this man is an honest caring decent human being. What would have prevented him from standing up and randomly shooting everybody in the restaurant? Or maybe he was a decent guy. Either way I want to know how I could look at someone and determine what their intentions are in all situations with % accuracy. I guess the best way to explain it is I look at armed people with the same disgust and contempt and fear as gun enthusiasts look at unarmed people.

This miscreant father is probably getting a lot of negative comments these days. As he should. Parents with guns and kids can be a deadly combination. Usually, it is the child getting a hold of a gun and shooting a sibling. Then the parents realize, albeit too late, the problems that guns cause.

True, the pro gun talks about personal responsibilities and I agree, but they have billions upon billions of dollars from the NRA supporting their cause. But yet when it comes to the gun control side,it's always poor people's money and time. Why doesn't the NRA start investing in some major programs that the gun nuts talk about? If I miss two hours of work that's a significant amount of money for me. And no ,a individual cannot just insert an after-school program at a school even if they pay for it. The social problems that this country has ,is indeed ,related to The High Cost of Living , low wages and serious reductions of time that parents have to spend with their family. If a woman wants an abortion should the father have a right to keep the child?
PhoebeCat comments on May 20, 2018:

Kojaksmom replies on May 20, 2018:
I agree, if a woman has the right to abortion if she does not want to financially, emotionally and otherwise be a parent, a man should have the same option of opting out of parenthood. I know a lot of women that are raising kids by themselves. The biological father doesn't pay child support or see the child. Men should have the right to release themselves from all parental responsibility by giving up their parental rights .
