They are majestic creatures. Many years ago I walked out into my back yard to see one falling to the ground - the neighbor boy had shot him - I told him "you do know they are a protected species and you could go to jail for what you just did".....scared the poop out of him - he handed me the bird and ran home. What to do ???? I stuck him in the freezer and started looking for taxidermists. Found one who did a phenomenal job - captured the essense of the bird with outswept wings and I gave it to my ex husband as a birthday gift that year. He was pretty impressed - but then admitted that all those hushed phone conversations he had overheard (with the taxidermist) - made him think I was having an affair. Did I mention he's my "ex" ???? hahahahaha ;) :)
