We need to adopt the more European education model of encouraging people to look at blue collar/trade jobs as important as the ones requiring the degree. My niece spent 6 years getting her degree because she kept changing her major (she never really knew what the hell she wanted to do)...in the end, she went into accounting. The job she has now she could have easily gotten without the 6 years of student loans that are hanging around her neck.

One thing you can definitely count on is that as you "age", you will only become more interesting to women. And here's the "bonus". Right now you're probably interested primarily in women around your own age....as you get older, you are perceived as a "catch" to both much younger women and to women your age and older. @Bigwavedave We didn't either.....these two were litter mates - my son brought them to me when they were 6 wks old. I made a decision when they were still very young to have them declawed (front only) - which a lot of people think is a horrible thing to do but the Vet we were using at the time said "If they are going to be inside cats and you want to live in harmony with something whose sole mission in life is to destroy every piece of furniture in your house, I would definitely do it." They've had a really good life and Tess just might set a record.

Sometimes - when I'm going thru one of those "negative loop feedbacks" I stop and say "OK so if you had done this or that differently - what would the outcome have likely been?" In a lot of those situations you come to realize that you might have actually made the least bad decision?? I've come to realize that in many cases, a different action on my part might have produced a very different outcome - but not necessarily a better one.

@indirect76 Oh I am well aware of how difficult (impossible?) it would be - but every time someone says "oh there's NO way this or that could possibly happen"........and then it does. We are living in very bizarre times, I'm afraid.

We have been "adopted" by a sweet cat that was left behind when a family moved out and simply left her behind. She's black and white so we started calling her Oreo....she hangs out on our property - we feed her - and she seems to be relatively happy just hanging out. Another one that was abandoned is a beautiful Siamese....he/she hangs out with us too. I just don't understand how people can do that....

They will not believe anything that comes out of the investigation - they've already chalked it up as the ultimate witch hunt against poor little Donald. I can't tell you how many of them are STILL telling me "what's wrong with you - why can't you just give him a CHANCE?" It's like they are deaf, dumb and blind to everything he does....

I think Mueller is going to release a lot of really disparaging info - but none of it will rise to the level of actually indicting trump. A bunch of other people will go down but like the cockroach he is, trump will be able to scuttle away. If there is one thing that will be trump's undoing - it may very well be the information on his tax returns that he is soooo zealousy guarding. We shall see.....

I totally agree with you regarding the genetic component....Good genes combined with a sensible lifestyle goes a lot further than jumping on the latest (fad) diet bandwagon and running marathons which might be ok for some folks but I know more than a few who are paying the price now (bad knees, hairline fractures in their feet, etc)

We've had both dogs and cats over the years....they pretty much rule the roost. The smallest cat turned out to be the alpha....was funny to watch her intimidate a 100 lb German Shepherd. Would rather spend my time with them than most of the people I know.... ;)
