I totally get what you are saying.....post divorce for most women is a period of time when we sort of "pull inward". Time for healing, introspective thinking and prioritizing the things in our life. It is completely normal that you would have seen your life in the terms you described above. BUT - there comes that time when the scab is beginning to fall off and you realize that you actually do miss the interaction of friends in your life. For the sake of expediency, we put carpet down in most of the rooms but we have decided to (eventually) rip it up one room at a time and put down wood planking - keeping the look very rustic. The house is a chalet style so I think it will work just fine....
